You’ve got good long term gains going. Even if it has taken a long time, you should be proud. When I’m training weights and miss a weight, I always tell myself the weights I handle are more than most people dream of, and do a good lighter set for reps. I don’t know if PE is like this, but perhaps your routine could use a change, and from reading it seems like you’re already changing things up. I think PE is also like weight training where you can hammer away at a certain weight (or exercise range) for a long time without making it and when you finally do it’s like “Hell Yeah!”
