Why the hell are averages online all over the place

Why are the penis averages online all over the damn place. I don’t know what to believe. I hear everywhere from 5 to 7. Do scientists really feel the need to sugar coat studies saying the average is 5.25 or is this fact? I feel like the most common average I hear of is 6, but I hear a lot of averages saying 6.25. I know the average on this site is 5.5, but I feel couldn’t this be the affect of more low end of average people generally searching for P.E and stumbling across this wonderful site. This is no knock on anyone I understand we are all here to gain and I am nothing big myself, quite possibly below average, but does anyone know what the most reputable study or source is to the real median?

Some of the surveys are "self-reported" - meaning the guys fill out a survey and say how big they are. Who knows if they are measuring correctly or not.

Scientific studies usually get a little less than six.

Word good looks on the link. However wouldn’t it be hard to get a full blown erection to be measured? I can hit 6 when I’m really aroused but I’m usually 5.8 when usually aroused and can often go down to 5.5 if I have more than a few seconds to think about grabbing the ruler.

Depends on how hot the nurses were.

If sites are trying to sell you PE products, be they pumps, pills, powders or patches, extenders or subscriptions to their secret proprietary exercises, they will state inflated averages. This is done to play on men’s insecurities and feelings of inadequacy in the hopes of making more sales.
