Theraband is a stretchable plastic or rubber product sold for resistance training for invalids and other patients. It comes in long strips, about 6" or 8" wide, on a roll. It comes in different colors, each color is a different strength.

It is this weird rubber like stretchy stuff. You can order it on line from medical and physical therapy sites, from thera-band.com, or buy it from just about any home medical supply store.
