What is the difference between a jelq that is under 3 seconds, compared 4 secs?

What is the difference between a jelq that is under 3 seconds, compared 4+ secs?

I’ve always read how many seconds a jelq should be and it always says 3-5. I end up always doing quick jelqs for some reason, so I need to slow them down. However, I never have actually been told why a longer jelq is more important? What is better about a longer jelq compared to a shorter jelq?

And that 1+ second is multiplied by the number of jelqs that you do. That means you have a longer and thus a little bit heavier routine if you count your jelqs. If you time your jelqing, there’s little difference, you’ll have exercised your dick almost the same way in both cases.

I think the jelquing guide states it as “extremely” important to not let the stroke last shorter than 3 seconds. I never really saw an explanation on this though.

I take it as a guideline to just do the stroke as slow as possible rather than speaking of absolute numbers. Also a 3 second stroke on an 8” dick would have a higher velocity than on a 4” dick. Likely, velocity (and pressure) is what really counts, but that would be too abstract to understand when it comes to applying on exercises. And probably not even necessary. Lol.
