Just looked it up and read the manual.

It is a penis pump and cock ring that costs like $400-$500. The hand pump is connected to the top of the cylinder (no hose), and that is the only difference. Oh, and it doesn’t even have a gauge. Apparently is a “medical device,” so they can charge whatever they want for it.

If you are thinking of buying this save yourself some money, and maybe some safety issues pumping at an unknown vacuum, and get a regular pump and cylinder.

No, no, I mean a penis pump silly. :) Like this one. That would save you like $300-$400 and is just a more dynamic and safer unit because of the vacuum gauge and because you can upgrade your cylinder at a later date. Or you could go the cheaper (and better) route and buy the hand pump and cylinder separately as I have described here. If you go the route of getting them separately as described in that post, you can pump with water as well as air. Then buy a cock ring and you have all the stuff that comes with the ErecAid for a fraction of the cost.

ErecAid is a VED (vacuum erection device) which is a specially designed penis pump for guys suffering from ED. It is a specially designed cylinder which allows you to pump up your erection and then slide a constriction band around the base of your erection to maintain it. The medically approved version does cost about $400 because it is approved for med insurance coverage. However, you can get a similar “non medically approved” version for about $100. I have severe diabetes induced ED and use one several times a week for sex. Don’t know what I would do without it.

dtwarren, I don’t mean to sound ignorant here, but I read the ErecAid manual, it had a special applicator thingy to get the cock ring around the base of the cylinder, but couldn’t you slip a cock ring around the base of a regular cylinder and pop it on as you pull out with an erection and get the same effect?

Rootsnatty.. I have read about these kind of rings, The ring will be linked with the vacuum tube on the base (which stays on your pubic area) and when you get your desired erection, you can remove the tube and ring will stay on the Tool.

Correct, I just don’t see why you couldn’t do the same thing with a standard pump cylinder. Unless it was very flanged at the base.

Lets see, someone will share his experience. I’m sure we’ll find at least one person who tried a standard pump cylinder.
