What did this medication do to my penis?

What did this medication do to my penis?

A month ago I started taking homeopathic medication Hormeel with the following composition:

Drops: 100 g cont.:Sepia officinalis D6, Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni D8, Conyza Canadensis D3, Viburnum opulus D3, Cyclamen purpurascens D4, Strychnos ignatii D6, Myristica fragans D6. Contains 35 vol.-% ethanol.

It is recommended by the company producing it (Heel) to women having issues with menopausing. My homeopath told me not to worry about it, explaining it will only set my hormones right. Well, it set it wrong.

In the 6 day of taking the drops, I noticed the glans of my penis is much softer than usual, both in the erect and non-erect state. Of course I quit the medication. Prior to that, I’ve always had a great erection. The erection is still that good, except for the glans, which still can be hard, but not as previously, and not really when I’m lying (when I’m sitting, it’s much better).

2 weeks after that, I started taking Vitamin B Complex and L-Arginine 500mg twice daily (read it can help for soft glans). The next day I started experiencing numbness, stiffness, loss of sensitivity and a bit of pain in my penis’s shaft, and also the glans and the top part of the shaft started to be cold (colder than usual). Both in erect and non-erect state. I stopped taking the supplements. I really doubt it was them “causing” the issue, but perhaps they’ve added fuel to the fire. Now, 3 days after I stopped taking the supplements, my penis is doing better every day, especially in terms of the numbness. Still, it’s there, especially in the erect state. And still the top is often colder and the glans is softer.

Clearly Hormeel set or did something wrong with my body. My question is, what are possible scenarios of what happened, and what can I do to speed up and strengthen the recovery..

One idea is that Hormeel temporarily raised my prolactin levels, causing this to happen. I checked my prolactin levels 2 days ago and they’re absolutely normal. The same with testosterone and estradiol. I have a very high DHT levels (much above the norm) and it actually can be the cause of some other health issues that I have for a long time, but I’d like to focus on the penis “injury” issue here. It really feels like some nerve has been damaged or so.

I may also add that 1 week after the thing with soft glans happened, I tried to put the penis into a cold water for 10 minutes to increase blood flow, daily for like 3 days, but I doubt it did anything good or bad.

Thank you for reading guys, I really appreciate and am interested in your ideas!

You took a womens medication.

It may raised your prolactin/estrogen and that may caused the changes in your penis

Thanks for the reply @Killawhite! I checked both my estradiol and prolactin and they’re absolutely normal. So if this medication really messed up with my prolactin/estrogen levels temporarily, how can I strengthen the recovery of my penis right now?

Probably taking time off of it will solve the issue.

Hot water will dilate the vessels sir, not cold.

Thanks for the reply, guys! I’m doing a bit better, but I still feel a bit of numbness/stiffness and a bit of pain, especially if I squeeze (gently) the penis. Right below the glans (which is softer and often colder) I feel the pain the most, but I feel it at any point of the penis when I squeeze this point. Any ideas of what could’ve happened to the penis, physically?

I think at this point it’s more so a mental thing then a physical. Give yourself some time off and try not to get nervous over it.

Thanks for the reply @kingscounty! What I can guarantee, it’s 100% physical and 0% mental. That one thing I know for sure. I’m quite calm about this, although of course it’s worrying and I do the research. I still have a very good libido and erection, except for the glans, although I’m trying not to have erections that often, to give my penis some rest.

Still, I would be interested in your ideas of what actually has happened to the penis, physically.
