I started jelqing back in October just for fun. Then I found this forum and decided to start the newbie routine. I took some breaks because I feared an injury so I started to do it more cautiously and seriously around December. Anyways, this is where the problem arised; A week back after doing 30 sec stretches on different directions, I followed it by a light session of jelq. My penis felt super sensitive afterwords, but I didn’t mind it. I noticed, however, that whenever I pee’d my penis would be skinnier, but it would be at the right flaccid length. Again, I didn’t mind it, I thought it was normal. Now the next night, I did the same thing, but this time, after I finished stretching, my penis was turtling up. I then stretched back out and started jelqing and it was really sensitive. After that, my unit turtled up and when I woke up, it looked like it lost 1 inch of flaccid length (usually 3, depending on temperature). I am now worried because it’s still 2” flaccid and my erections feel smaller. Oh yea, my routine was 2 on 1 off, then I moved on to everyday.

-Did I overtrain my unit?

-Should I take 1-2 weeks off?

-Are jelqs the cause of this?

My question to you is: how much force are you using?

When you wrote “whenever I pee’d” I initially thought you meant urinated.
Now I’m assuming you meant “whenever I PE’ed”

Describe your 30 second stretches. How much force. How it feels as you begin. Etc. Be as descriptive as possible about the whole process. How you warm-up. How you take breaks. What jelqing is like.

I meant urinate, my bad. Warm up is 5 or more minutes in the shower (only time I have privacy).The first time I injured myself I was pulling too hard. This time I followed what firegoat said on a post about exerting enough force to make it stretch to as far as it could without over exerting to avoid injury or something along those lines. I decided to try it and I liked this method and how it could be implemented everyday. As far as jelqing, I did light leqs. Soft 3 second ones to avoid over training it, but idk if I did it wrong or something or if jelqs were even necessary because my unit felt more sensitive while doing jelqs then stretching. Or maybe the stretching is causing hypersensitivity. Oh and I wasn’t taking breaks in between stretches either.. I think I took breaks whenever I felt my unit getting hard, but other than that I just kept going at it. Could that have been it?

It looks like you are overtraining.Slow down a little bit and listen to your penis.If you experience turtling or negative PI’s slow down a little bit ;)

If “idk” is supposed to mean “I don’t know” be advised that chat abbreviations are frowned on around here. Thunder even put it in Forum Guidelines

I’m guesing you’re using too much force. That’s the only thing that makes sense given your symptoms.

Stretches should be done the way sports stretching is done. Slowly exert force, easing into the stretch, and holding it - just below the pain threshold. It occurs to me your pain threshold might be high, so you may be using more force than you think.

Jelqing is good to monitor too. You should be semi-erect, say about 70%, and you should squeeze and pull to just below the glans. This is never exactly comfortable, but it shouldn’t hurt. Your going to have to play with pressure and intensity to find your sweet spot.

I’d lay off for a couple days until things are back to normal, then try again with fewer reps of the different exercises. Focus more on finding a good balance of force, then when you find it you can begin to slowly ramp up the number of reps.

I apologize for that Happy. I will most likely start up on Monday again. Everything is starting to feel a bit better. Some questions I have though;

-How long should I hold the stretches for?
-How long should rests be after a stretch?

I’m also thinking of starting up with around 3 or so minutes of stretching and 2 of jelqing until I’m able to find an comfortable zone for each and then add more as time progresses and my unit sees fit to move on.
