Warm ups - dangers of not doing them

Everyone stresses the importance of warm ups but I am ashamed to admit that I hardly ever do them.
Instead I just slowly build up the jelq pressure over several minutes. My theory being that the friction inside the penis should warm things up - I haven’t had any problems with this during the 3 months that I have been dry jelqing but I feel like I am taking a risk.

What accidents can happen when not warmed up externally?

Not to much just when you warm up you take the risk of bruising and blood dots away, but I solve that problem by doing all my exercise while in a warm shower that way I can warm up while o before I do exercises. Just be careful and watch what your doing and you should be fine.

I doubt the effect of warm ups myself. Usually I only get an erection before my workout, my penis is warmed up internally this way. You might consider doing the same.

At first when I started, I used to warm-up for 10 minutes before stretching & jelqing. I got results but then it really started to slow down after 5 months of consistent PE & that kind of put a downer on things! You could imagine the dissapointment I was feeling.

While staying at a friends one night I thought “what can I use for warming up my cock before I stretch & jelq?”. Well, I decided to give the warm-up a miss and proceeded with the stretching & jelqing. Man! during the whole session, my cock started to look longer & thicker & I was blown away from what I could visually see & physically feel! I had NEVER got a result like that before, not even when I first started PE, needless to say I gave up on the warm-up & warm-down indefinately & got amazing results each time I PE’d. After that night, I decided to cut down the sets & reps too to make my routine as basic as possible & since then, I haven’t looked back!

Now, I’m not saying that everyone here should stop warming up, it’s just my personally experience & every time I just stretch & jelq, I get nothing but incredible expansion that stays this way right through to my next session. I have no idea why it’s working out so great and I’m not about to fix something that isn’t broken.

Personally, I don’t see any danger of not warming up just as long as you stretch & jelq CORRECTLY. My gains are coming in alot faster than when I first started so I guess I’m doing just fine.

Dongalong, there won’t be enough friction to heat things up. You’ll keep things at body temp.

Bird, yes it will be at body temp. As it was before. If you check out Shiver’s heat thread, it seems that you need to get a good deal above body temp before tissue softens. The other aspect of getting it heated is to avoid unwanted damage - same as in all sports - but that may or may not be doable with body temp only.

I enjoy the warm up aspect of my workouts , personally , and the only real injuries I have had , came when I did not warm up .

The method I use is to take a hand towel , thoroughly moisten it with warm water , fold it in half length wise , then roll it up like an egg roll .

I then microwave the “egg roll” for a minute or two to heat it up . I always then unroll it quickly , and check that the temperature is not too hot , re-roll it , then wrap in snugly around my cock like an Ace Bandage .

I then put a plastic bag over it , and then over that , I put a stretch ankle sock ! It keeps the whole package nice and snug , and also helps keep some of the heat in .

I need to wear a pair of briefs , or a jock to support the weight of the warm up package .

It goes together quickly after a few times , and it works really well for me , and I use this to warm up , and to warm down . Especially nice in the cold Maine Winters !

Yup. Though I can understand why an erection would ‘loosen’ the tissue.

This has in most cases been the case with me too. It appears that some individuals are fortunate enough not to necessitate a warm-up for injuries’ case while others will cause themselves harm without a good warm-up segmented closely with their routine. If you’re one of them fortunate: you (genetically?) lucky bastard.

However, in my opinion, even those who do not need to warm-up would actually benefit from it growth wise, despite any experiences I read of people coming back from a PE holiday and then assuming that their growth is solely due to their lack of warming up. What’s that saying? You only do something when you need to do it?

HMMM! Shiver gets exceptional gains by doing a warm up and Lee Beast gets exceptional gains by not.
Any other opinions?.

I do get blood spots when I dry jelq, can these be totally avoided by the warm up? I’ve never had bruising though.

Shiver’s theory sounds interesting and since I don’t do warm ups, it’s probably worth me trying.

Has anyone else achieved the same quick 0.5” increase that Shiver had?
