Warm down vs cool down

I have been hearing more people cooling down for 2 minutes or so, and some people warming down for six minutes or so.

There are those who say cool while still hanging stretching, but recently I’ve been using heat throughout my entire hanging sessions and I feel looser afterwards.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

I like heat after a work out, my penis LOVES it !! Keeps all the blood vessels dialated and more blood in my penis, which should be a good thing.

I like warm downs as well. Only time I use cool down is if I went too intense and I get red dots or bruising. Soaking in ice cold water helps the recovery and makes the dots go away.

I have always used heat before and during hanging, maybe one day I will try a cool down but I know what cold water does to my schlong and it doesn’t make me feel bigger!

I forgot the thread topic, but somewhere here there was a link to a study with tissue expansion and cool down vs. no cool down. I think it was done on rat tails or something.

Anyways, there was greater permanent elongation using heat to stretch, then ice to cool down while the tissue was stretched vs. only heat during stretching. I’ve starting using it for my PE, but haven’t closely monitored routine and progress.

This is what I have been doing over the past 6 months and has been a key factor to my recent growth. I use heat throughout each session but use a cool down after everything is done for that session. I think the problem that some people have with a cool down is that they think it is performed in the same manner as a general warm up which should not be the case. You post gave a basic description of how it should be done. The cool down should be applied while in a stretched/extended state in order for it to be effective.

Hot and cold

I am a newbie who is attempting PE mainly through using a VACextender. However I also do some basic jelqing while in the shower. I normally point the water directly at the penis and have it hotter than normal while jelqing. When I am about finished I turn the hot off and use cold water to cool my unit down. Not sure if it helps PE but is quite stimulating. Like Penis sauna. What do others think?

So you’re saying that the cool down is after you are stretching, in the “post-technique-still-stressed/stretched” time period? Sorry, it just sounded like you were saying to apply cold while you were stretching.

Yes I do the cool down after any PE routine is finished when I am still in the temporary growth stage. For the second statement, that is correct in a sense. After my routine, I do a light stretch and apply either a bag of ice water or a frozen water bottle to all four sides of my penis (top, bottom, left, and right) for one minute each. I have been doing this for a few months now an this has resulted in the best flaccid hang I have ever had regardless of it being right after a routine or on a rest day.

I have also put on a quarter inch of length in this timeframe and I believe that the cool-down method has contributed greatly to that growth.
