Vasectomy: Recovery Time Lessons
So back in May, I had a vasectomy, and it taught me a couple of lessons about how long it takes to heal that region of my body. See, we don’t always realize the damage we’re doing from PE, and we are not equipped with proper nerve sensitivity to notify us of damage.
So we have to guess how long it takes to heal, and trust in the elders for sage advice.
Then there’s a vasectomy. There is no questioning those nerve endings and the time it takes to heal, and I wanted to share a bit of what I learned.
It was a cut-n-burn vasectomy, no stitches. Some of the dates are wonky, but this is all pretty close to what it was like.
Day 0: Just afterward, burning pain like a bee sting. Proper urination and function, but clearly I was wounded. I slept.
Day 1: I woke up. Stung a bit, but not unbearable. I worked out at the gym, but a very light WoD. Mostly some walking and very light weights.
Day 4: Workout not far from normal, but light. I masturbated. No issues with erection, but there were sharp pains when I spasmed. Basically, I felt like I was healed until I orgasmed, then the bees stabbed into my nads.
Day 7-10: Function pretty much back to normal, workouts normal. I felt fairly healed, except during orgasm. It still stung, but was receding. ~Very~ light PE, light tugs and plump-up squeezes. Just staying healthy.
Day 14-20: Began to feel almost completely healed. Still, orgasms burned a bit. Lightly ramped up PE efforts, and by day 21 was more or less at the newbie level.
Day 30: No noticeable pain during orgasm, and PE efforts continued to improve.
The point here is that I felt all right after 4 days, but was not fully healed. I felt much better after 10 days, and was 80% healed, but not completely. It took a total of 20-30 days (3-4 weeks) to ~fully~ heal.
So from a decon standpoint, I learned that 4-7 days is probably good for light damage. 10 days will work for more moderate damage, and 30 days is required for a full reset.
Which brings us back to our elders and their sage advice, which in my mind was confirmed. Take a week or two off for a quick decon, or a month for a full decon.
That is based on my nutsack’s data, and my nuts do not lie.
