Okay, so I’ve been reading a while and have decided to do something more than just jelqs at this point.probably some type of stretching device. I have noticed recently more and more comments and statements about heating and warming up/down being a big benefit in routines. So, I was wondering if people could give some specifics. Most say that it’s good to warm-up and even warm-down. How about during? And if so, how do you keep the area warm? Some type of wraps? Heating pads? Continually warming something up and simply applying it to your penis while it’s in a stretching device? What is it that some of you are doing that you believe helps?

Anyway, I think warming up and down are pretty much the only things in PE that you can’t overdo (kegels also, I think). Always warm up at least 5 min before a session and warm down 5 min after a session, this is very important. It’s not only beneficial, it is essential, especially if you’re new to PE.
Also, there are about a million ways to warm up and down, just use the search function. As a thumb rule, you should apply heat to your penis that will be below the pain threshold (so no boiling allowed, right?), but noticeable.

Rice sock for me I warm up for 15 mins minimum more like 20 minutes pre stretch, and re warm when I’ve cooled down too much.

Thanks MDRG. I did read through that. I guess the rice sock is popular during stretching and the IR lamp is a bit, too. Some other ideas in there too. I realized that the warm-up and warm-down are important. Just didn’t really know if the “during” was something to do also - or easy to do. Was looking for some “techniques” for keeping warm during PE, if that’s what people felt was helping.

I gained one and three-eights inches (BPEL) in about six months (one half inch the first month) by doing manual stretches while sitting in a hot bath. I would bathe and shave first, and begin stretching after I had been sitting in the hot water for about twenty minutes. I would hold the stretch for about 30 minutes, alternating hands as necessary due to fatigue or slipping. I would start with the water as hot as I could stand it, and naturally the water would cool with the passage of time. Of course, I have no way to know if I would have gotten the same results without the heat.

Heat during the session couldn’t hurt, I guess, but you can do it only if you do things other than manual exercises, cause otherwise you usually have both of your hands doing something (attending to your dick, usually :P). If you do hanging or ADS, I guess you could, but anyway you should concentrate on manuals for the time being. You can try Wood B. Nice’s method with the hot bath, I personally don’t think it’s necessary (also, I don’t have a bath), but try it and see if it’s good for you.
