When doing uli’s how do you know when ur applying too much pressure?

When my member starts to turn purple is that an indicator that it’s time to give it a rest?

It depends on your level of conditioning. This in not a newbie exercise. Purple does not necessarily mean bad…blue, white and black are very bad colors.

Too much pressure hurts, hurt is a bad thing.

When it starts turning purple give it a rest en resume with less pressure.

I did a clamp once using a penisring, too large so I folded the darn thing. Worked great, turned purple as well after a while.
So what happened? My dick got really fat so I couldn’t get the ring off!! Scared the .. Out of me. Tried soap, oil, nothing worked so I panicked even more. Purple became darker and darker so I used force to get the ring off, hurt like crazy. Never again! I’m using elastic band without any knots, string it along and then sit on both ends. Works like a charm (no gains so far however).
Just an anecdote, since we’re talking purple and all.

I did watch that video b4 my newly added uli routine.but it is sort of brief so the discoloration was a bit scary.

Also is it normal to have my erection level go down while doing uli’s?

Yes, you shouldn’t be fully erect when doing this exercise. If your penis is completely rigid, the blood will not be able to expand the fore shaft and you will not be able to effectively clamp off blood.
