I can never seem to get it right. Every time I try to start PE I always think I’m doing it wrong so I take a break and I just seem to not want to put the effort into it. I’m pretty sure it’s because I still do NOT know how to jelq properly. I’m not saying that there are great explanations for some but for me something gets terribly lost in translation.

I’m still not sure how the hell I’m supposed to know what a 70% erection is for one, let alone keep it in that ballpark for the remainder of the session. Is it mostly supposed to be soft or hard, you know like a bag of Vaseline or a little harder?Would it be parallel to the floor, at 2 o’clock, 5 o’clock? Why the hell does my penis shrink after PE jelqing, it even happens when I take it really easy it happens. And how hard should your strokes be, a little less pressure to crack an egg or more? Plus it hardly ever stays nice and plump afterwards, I would say about 10% of the time that happens.

Meh.please help this poor poor soul. Searching did not help my predicament.

The term I like to describe my penis while jelqing is ‘spongy.’ The idea is to have your penis filled with blood but not be quite erect. Does this make sense? It takes a fair amount of practice to get this way so keep trying.

I prefer to jelq straight out from the body but a lot of guys jelq upwards. If you are standing then that would mean a 3 or 9 o’clock angle. I’m not sure why your penis isn’t plump after a workout but I’m assuming it’s due to your technique.

Ok.I get how it’s supposed to feel, but if you were not touching it where should the head of the penis point? Towards the floor or wall?

I really feel for you man! The same thing goes for me. Although I did the newbie routine for a month and had fairly huge gains, I still don’t know if I am doing it the right thing because I am taking a break right now after I had a pretty bad injury that jelqing caused me. I am really hoping from an expert input on this one! It’s really easier said than done you know.

I had this dilemma as well, but two things helped. First, the lubricant. Initially, I used this KY liquid lube that feels really good but it made jelqing difficult. My hand couldn/t glide smoothly with it. I switched to Vaseline and now it moves perfectly(and a note here - don’t grip too hard. You’d be surprised how well a simple firm grip works). Second, the number of reps. I tried doing the prescribed 200 at first but found this to be too much to start. I think I even gave myself the beginning of an injury but changed it just in time, now I seem to be fine. I dropped to like 100 reps, and over the course of about two weeks have built myself up to 200 no problem. It feels different now, I can control my erection level better than before(and this does take some practice). I now look forward to the sessions, whereas before I was actually kind of scared of them. They feel very productive. I shall see in a week or so, after month one is completed.

Re-check your lubricant, modify your jelq reps(don’t hesitate about lowering this, seriously. If you cannot be patient, then in my opinion you should stay away from PE).

Don’t worry if your penis shrinks right after a workout, it means you did a good job. After a jelqing session my penis always “turtles”, but I can get an erection if I want to very easily.

Jesmid gave some good advice about jelqing. It’s important to be able to glide smoothly, and look for that “spongy” feeling in the penis. The tunica should not be taught, nor should your penis point up from being erect (you know, after a point the penis starts pointing upwards when it gets erect - this is too erect and you could hurt yourself jelqing). Light and slow grip is key.

Persevere! I had a lot of these problems starting out, but I’m glad I stuck with it.

Even drop it to 40 reps at first, every other day. Add only about 5 reps every routine. This is what I did and it works. It lets you get to know your penis.

That sounds like erect jelqing to me. You can jelq just as well (or better) with you penis pointing to the floor in a standing position. I get my best jelqing done between 4 and 6 o’clock. Just my two cents. :)

I always hear a lot of guys here say to keep a light grip. How can you possibly get good expansion with that? I’d say I use a pretty strong grip and it seems it’s the only way I can jelq properly. Any Advice?

Well, the penis is pretty sensitive and often when you think you are using a moderate grip it’s really very strong. There’s also something to do with how the veins in the penis work. A tight grip scares the penis and causes it to go flaccid as a means of self-protection.

But do whatever works for you.

I use to have the same issues as you, it feels like you’ve done 300 jelqs, but in reality you’ve only completed like 50..

It’s also hard to keep track of jelqs by counting them 1 at a time.. You’ll get use to it.
