"U" Grip vs. "O" Grip

"U" Grip vs. "O" Grip

Yes I know, “Not another GRIP Thread!!” I searched for my answer and found nothing.

So here’s my question: Is the “U” Grip just as effective as the “O” Grip?

I find that the “O” Grip(or OK grip) is difficult for me to do. I am uncut and it seems like my skin gets in the way when I jelq. My sack is pretty tight. Would stretching out my sack help this?

Anyways, I find that the “U” Grip works good for me. Was just wondering if it was a good grip to use, if at all.


Start: 7.2" BPEL, EG = 5"

Current: 7 7/8" BPEL, 7" NBPEL, 8" BPFSL, EG(midshaft) = 5 5/8"

Goal: 8" NBPEL, EG = 6.5"

The U-Grip has always worked well for me. I gained nearly 0.9” EG from jelqing with a U-grip. Not much length, however :( .

Don’t know what a “U” grip is sorry. I do know that dry jelqs are much easier for us uncut guys, but wait till you’ve finished the newbie routine.

U grip is an ok grip without closed fingers. I used it myself, with good results.

Well I’m looking for length gains right now. Have you always used the “U” grip? At what erection %? How long are your strokes?

I try to keep my erection level at about 50-75%, but then again I find it hard to know what exactly a 50% erection is after jelqing for a bit. Anyone else have this problem? Sometimes I don’t know if I’m jelqing at 50%, or 80%, or even 90%….How do you tell? lol

I jelq between a 3 and a 4 on this scale. I prefer this scale to the percentage scale, which I also find confusing.

My strokes are 1 or 2 seconds, maybe quicker. I would sometimes try to time my strokes to my kegels, so I would do a kegel on each stroke.

I can’t remember who said it, but one member said that using the “you Grip” (applying pressure to top and bottom of the penis) was better for girth, and that the “O Grip” was better for length because you were applying pressure to the sides of the penis. I’ll try and find the thread.

Some people think jelqing at at 1 or 2 on that scale promotes length gains. My opinion on the subject is that you should use stretching (or hanging) as your primary length exercise and jelqing for all-around volume growth (length and girth, but mostly girth). I don’t think that jelqing on its own is a very effective length exercise, at any erection level, but I do agree that it is an important part of any well-rounded program.
