To me, turtling is like the spell check on the computer, shows you what you spelled wrong. Turtling is the penis exercise check, it tells you, that your penis has just been overworked and to ease it up some, until it no longer turtles after an exercise. My thoughts and hope this helps. Turtling is not the enemy , overworking a penis is.

Just theory talking here. I’ve only turtled when there wasn’t sufficient heat to aid with circulation. Even with overtraining which resulted in extremely low EQ there was never turtling when I used heat. Again just theory and my experience.

Does turtling actually impend/stop gains. I remember reading something about after you do a PE exercise, either with an extender or jelqing and you turtle and it heals shorter.

I have mixed feeling about penis extenders (I use one) and some sites say you gain from cell division and I’ve read others just saying it stretches the ligs.

Heat is great…it has helped me stretch further with the spring loaded extender.

With turtling I dont think it has to be pe related. Turtling occurs for me when doing intense sports or exercise. Goinh heavy at gym or playing soccer or even when there is stress. This is nothing to do with over training but I can see turtling effecting any gains you could have made prior

Thats why im keeping my ab silicone sleeve on as it keeps my faccid at 5” and doesnt allow for Any kind of turtling.

I keep the glans exposed so top of sleeve is just below this constriction also allowd for big expansion in the glans giving a great mushroom.

Two birds one stone ;)

I think we are saying the same thing; blood flow. Heat and great blood flow prevent turtling.

The turtling is a healing mechanism after trauma and to avoid trauma(cold) Getting it near the body to supply it with healing chemicals.
Thats why you turtle with injurys or too intense exercise.

The question if then stretching it out when it tries to turtle after exercise helps healing it elongated is hard to proove.
From an isolated mechanical viewpoint it makes sense. As in parts not getting glued harder together but gaps getting bigger or fileld by more mass.
(but thats jsut an idea that makes sense kind of. Not sure if reality is that)

I think the first idea of the body is to strengthen the tissue.
Thats why we dont use very high weights right away as the tissue tends to harden instead of increasing.

Thats also why we should aim for the least intensity necessary to gain.

For me the best state is when I had an intense exercise sessions that leaves me with a full and long hang. Sometimes even the next day.
If it turtles up it doesnt seem right and was maybe too intense.

Using and ADS or ADC along exercises to prevent turtling feels right and my results as in ahving a good hang seem right too.
