To kegel or not to kegel

Hi,

I have started a newbie routine just manual stretching and wet jelqing.

But I wasn’t sure about doing kegels what are the benefits. Do they include increased length or girth,

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Kegels give you better EQ (erection quality). They improve situations like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. So add them into your routine. Do them while driving around in your car. Do them at work, do it flaccid and erect as well.

Most people report harder erections and better ejaculatory control. No length or girth gains though unfortunately!

Don’t do them during sex though, I know it makes me cum a hell of a lot faster.

And at times fade our erection too. Kegels is what you naturally do when ejaculation it is essentially the muscle movement behind shooting the load. Also another benefit(thats what I think) is shooting further.

I have to disagree with this.

The ejaculatory contraction is an involuntary spasm, and I don’t believe it has anything to do with the BC muscle.

Rather, the BC muscle is the same muscle you use if, when urinating, you want to stop the flow of the stream urine. There is no evidence that I know of that exercising this muscle will make you shoot farther.

What Kegels do is keep the BC muscle toned, which has been shown to have a direct impact on erection quality (EQ). By flexing this muscle you draw more blood to the region and this is generally a good thing over all.

Kegels can also be used when erect to manage and help to control ejaculatory response. As I said before, the ejaculatory contraction is an involuntary spasm, we have zero control over it. Nada.

What we do have control over is our level of arousal leading up to this spasm. Kegels when done very hard can have the effect of clamping off the ejaculation, but they also serve to draw blood away from the erection, which will decrease arousal. If you attempt this when you are too close to the point of no return you can push yourself into ejaculation, so real attention must be paid to your levels of arousal, and some experimenting is probably in order so you have a more precise understanding of where you’re level of arousal is in relation to where it’s ultimately going.

Kegels, as part of the Newbie Routine, are to be done without an erection and can only help in the overall health of your unit. Kegels done erect, as a part of a masturbation or sexual intercourse, can be useful in helping to re-train your sexual response and help to gain ejaculatory control. There are a number of books that outline specific ideas with regard to this technique.

If someone could answer whats the difference between doing kegels erect/flaccid/standing/sitting. I seem to have a much better BC/mind connection while sitting for some reason but I wonder if they re as efficient.

Doing them erect is different than flaccid as it has an impact on the erection directly.

I don’t believe it matters much at all if you sit or stand, except in as much as it has an impact on how comfortable it is for you.

Doing them flaccid is what the Newbie Routine recommends, as it is easiest and can be accomplished anywhere. It’s all you really need to do.

Doing them erect is fun, but you can’t really do them anywhere.

There are some who recommend doing what’s know as Wally-Wally Ups, where you get an erection and then drape it with a wet towel or some other soft, item with some small amount of weight (I used a heat pad that weighed about a pound or so), and Kegel so as to lift up the towel, or whatever. When I was doing these I did three or four sets of ten.

I have to say doing Kegels either way produces about the same benefit. My thought is do the thing that’s easiest for you that you will do consistently, as exercise that you actually perform beats exercise that you only think about performing.

There are some folks who do combinations of approaches, some who do very complicated and idiosyncratic variations of these techniques; they all amount to about the same thing.

If it’s working for you and you do it consistently, go for it. But Kegels, in whatever form, are incontrovertibly good for the health of the penis.

So as far as this threads topic goes, the answer is: to Kegel.
