To Get A Bathmate Or Not?

So, I’ve done a bit of air pumping with a cheap pump which I got mainly for fun (and the temporary gains I get) but have been considering going a bit more professional. I’ve scoured the internet (including here) for reviews on the Bathmate and weirdly can’t find that many bad reviews but also not really any photographic evidence of ‘permanent’ gains. Should I go for it? Does anyone have advice to offer or case stories?

I’ve done the odd bit of jelquing and stretching too but jelquing freaks me out a bit.

With the New Year coming I’m thinking of joining the gym and hey why not New Year new bigger dick too. :-)

More professional to me would be buying a good air pump with a gauge. The problem with the Bathmate is it is expensive and doesn’t have a gauge, so pumping using too much pressure is a common injury problem.

I wasted a lot of money on things I don’t use, and the Bathmate is one of those things, but there are people who seem to be very happy with them.
Unless you have a lot of money to waste, spend some time with the newbie routine, and spend some time looking at the different PE products that some of the small business people sell on the site. They have good products at good prices, and they will give you great service. I am thinking about MonkeyBar, and Monty. I get nothing for telling you this. The only thing I would have ever needed is MonkeyBar’s Vac3, and some homemade weights.

Get a good cylinder and pump with a gauge. You can modify it to water pump if you like. I used my bathmate for all of a year and got nothing from it. It’s like a guessing game. You ca use way too much vacuum if you’re not careful. With a gauge, you can be precise every time and find that sweet spot.

I have been pumping with the BM for three months now. I have made good Gains I think, but I have also jelqed to supplement. I think the two supplement each other well. BM is the perfect warm up and I like the relaxing feel 😄

Like others have said there’s no substitute for a quality cylinder with a gauge. It’s the easiest way to girth and length gains that are permanent with consistent use.

The Bathmate is the best warm up / cool down tool that there is. IF one has it figured how to use it with water infront of TV/PC etc.

But to gain only with the bathmate is no fun. Its very easy to get discoloration through the bathmate espacially following their 20 minute protocol.

In combo with all other exercises like the newbie routine its a great, but overprized, tool.

On edit: see now that you are in the UK. So harbor freight will not work for you. Hopefully you’ll find a similar vendor there.

So you speak from experience? I see you have been at this for awhile. I have been hang stretching for over a year, and have got some results, but I haven’t saw much in regards to flaccid hang.

I am thinking of switching to pumping this summer because I was told pumping gives the best flaccid hang results, and I think it will take up less time.

I do nude recreation in the summer, so I am going for better flaccid hang, and more time to be outside enjoying the summer.
Would you, or someone with some real experience have a routine to recommend?

I have a B/M I seldom use, and an LA with gauge. I have converted a Whisper Pump from pressure to vacuum, and have thought about setting it up to cycle on and off to constantly changing the amount of vacuum in order to allow some blood to circulate. With the cycles I should be able to have longer sessions. Has anyone experimented with this?

How long before the gains would become permanent, or at least hold from day to day?

To speed results that last all day and also become permanent I think it is important to have long continuous sessions. I like to go for 30 minutes straight starting off at the low end of your pressure range and increasing slowly during the session until you spend the last 10 to 15 minutes at your max pressure. And I mean the max pressure that you can handle, not necessarily what your pump can produce. For me, pumping every other day has been working well.

I used a Bathmate for about four months in didn’t gain anything. But it did give me a hell of a lot of bruising and discoloration. As others have said, get something with a gauge so you can know exactly what you’re subjecting you dick to each time.

I agree. Although I have a Bathmate and find it easy to use and enjoyable, a quality cylinder with a gauge would be the next evolution. For me, because I like to pump in the spa at 104 F, it would be setup for use in water.

I just re-started the newbie routine after a year of pause.

I ordered a Bathmate X30 this week. It will arrive probably Monday or Tuesday. What do you recommend? Should I a) send it back unused and stick with pure newbie routine or b) send it back and buy an air pump instead from Thickwall, or c) keep it and plug into somehow into the newbie routine, play with it and see where it leads or d) keep it AND buy an air pump as well from Thickwall?


PE start Aug 25, 2013: BPEL 6.7" x EG 4.7" and BPFSL 7".

Paused between Dec 2013 and Dec 2014 due to injury. Careful with those rice socks!

Goal 7" x 5". Ideal is 8" x 6" but let's not even dream about that yet...!

You have already read about all of the opinions in this thread that you need to make your decision. It kind of depends on what you can afford. Seems as though your options are either B or D.
