Quite often when I set the timer to 30 mins for jelqing, some seconds and even a whole minute has to be used to get the erection level back to scratch. While I feel like this should still count to 30 mins of jelqing, perhaps some consider pausing the timer during such.Is this why people prefer counting the amount of strokes?
There is a productive session and what we like to think of as a perfect session. If the session is not perfect by our standards, then we think it was not productive….our penises are different from day to day. Sometimes they cooperate sometimes not. I think in the long term for the worst days its just better to put in a little bit of good quality work, then be satisfied with that.
I prefer a timer of say 10 or 15 min depending on how I feel that day. I also use a metronome set to 60bpm to count off the seconds. I don’t focus on stroke count. But I DO hyper focus on stroke quality and count the beats per stroke. Usually 4-5 seconds is what I like. I feel like if I start at 1 and go to 100, I’m thinking of when the session will be over, just doing them, and not paying attention to how it feels. Sometimes based on how it feels, I’ll either extend the workout just a bit, or call it quits early. I dont have that “i didnt finish my reps, I’m a failure” but rather, “I put in SOME good work today”.
With the timer + metronome + stroke quality, I feel like I’m living in the moment with the training, kind of a trance in which i strive for quality. Feels right for me
