Timing Session vs Stroke Count

Timing Session vs Stroke Count

Would people say the latter is more beneficial to measuring a productive session?
Quite often when I set the timer to 30 mins for jelqing, some seconds and even a whole minute has to be used to get the erection level back to scratch. While I feel like this should still count to 30 mins of jelqing, perhaps some consider pausing the timer during such.

Is this why people prefer counting the amount of strokes?

There is a productive session and what we like to think of as a perfect session. If the session is not perfect by our standards, then we think it was not productive….our penises are different from day to day. Sometimes they cooperate sometimes not. I think in the long term for the worst days its just better to put in a little bit of good quality work, then be satisfied with that.

I prefer a timer of say 10 or 15 min depending on how I feel that day. I also use a metronome set to 60bpm to count off the seconds. I don’t focus on stroke count. But I DO hyper focus on stroke quality and count the beats per stroke. Usually 4-5 seconds is what I like. I feel like if I start at 1 and go to 100, I’m thinking of when the session will be over, just doing them, and not paying attention to how it feels. Sometimes based on how it feels, I’ll either extend the workout just a bit, or call it quits early. I dont have that “i didnt finish my reps, I’m a failure” but rather, “I put in SOME good work today”.

With the timer + metronome + stroke quality, I feel like I’m living in the moment with the training, kind of a trance in which i strive for quality. Feels right for me

Start: Dec 2016 BPEL: 6.125" MEG: 5.5" (5' - 9" 264 lb)

Goal: 7.5" x 6" .......I want to win the dick swinging contest.

All that’s good and fine kave but I think you need to talk more about the “feels” part , how does it feel when you’re on a roll or crashing and burning so to speak . You must be really synchronized with your body to stay in the threshold between undertraining and injury

I prefer counting strokes over watching or setting a timer. I find by doing so I’m keeping more consistent with the same routine. When I decide to ramp up, I’ll just add strokes, other than minutes.

Your body is a machine. It flexes predictably, for the most part. Counting strokes, especially early on, makes more sense. This makes it more consistent and measurable.

When you’re conditioned and doing a lot of jelqs the timing can come into play because timing when you have your jelqing stroke perfect and automatic is going to yield pretty much the same number of jelqs without counting past 400.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6.25" MSEG as of 11/10/2019 This is my story, a few progress pics of me here, and all my methods.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

Counting strokes is better. If I do 1 or 2 stretches more than I do I would be overtraining. I can’t go by time and risk doin 2 extra reps. Just 10 extra jelqs make a difference too.

7-20-16: BP: 7.63 NBP 6.75 x 5.75

3-22-17: BP: 8.44 NBP 7.56 x 5.75

I count strokes simply because it helps me focus on the consistency and quality of each stroke. No sense in doing the first 50 perfect, and the last 50 absent mindedly.

I prefer the timer. It ranges from 10-20 minutes dedpending on PI’s and my workout that day. I use the jar holder so each jelq is roughly 5-6 seconds.

I find that if I have to keep count my jelqs aren’t quality. Less I have to concentrate on the count the more I can focus on each jelq. Just personal preference.

I’m not a veteran, nor am I someone who has demonstrated any gains. I’m sure i have a lot to learn in the months to come, but the few times I’ve gone off the rails and done too much, I quickly learned that I don’t want to do that again. I try to shoot for that place where I get slight, turtling, slight feeling of ‘fatigue’ and that ends up hanging low and proud about 2-3 hours from the session. Its like it tells me “we had a good session partner, see you next time” rather than “what the fuck did you do to me”..

I’m a timer kind of guy. I find when I was counting strokes I’d be more apt to rush them and the quality of the jelq would suffer. When I use the timer method I’m there for as long as I’m there so I stay more focused on quality instead of just “getting those 200 jelqs in”.

I count strokes

Time for me. I lose track of counting and find I can focus on the quality of the jelq better with a timer.

That’s what I find too. But these days I tend to just go by feel rather than time or numbers.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results
