It is suggested that when manually stretching in the Newbie Routine that you hold each stretch from
15-30 seconds in each direction.

So why is it that you can use an extender for hours at a time or use an ADS for hours at a time?
Is it because you are not stretching the unit as intensely with these devices so you can have it in a stretched state longer?

Hypothetically: Could you do a manual stretch in ONE direction for 15 minutes if you wanted to and you had the hand strength?
Because I don’t see how this would be any different from having your penis in an extender for 15 minutes or up to 2 hours at a time before un-attaching.

Yes you could undoubtedly do that after you reach your 3 month safety net. Experienced hangers optimize OTL (Over the Leg).

But I would suggest you don’t jump into 15 minutes because you could not only injure yourself but be missing gains that could have been previously acheived at only several minutes.


Reject the basic assumptions of civilizations, especially the importance of material possessions.

Manual stretching is way more intense than wearing an extender or an ADS. I would agree with King in that you should wait a month or so but then expeirment with longer duration manual stretching … But do it gradually.

The main barrier for me doing extended manual stretching sessions has been tedium.
