Thoughts and questions after first few sessions

Thoughts and questions after first few sessions

Hey all,

I started PE two weeks ago, and am just about done with a week-long break. I was doing the newbie routine, but I began to have some negative PIs. For one thing, I found it very hard to keep up an erection while jelqing, often coming down to 30-40% by the end of it. For another, I no longer had morningwood, which was definitely unusual for me. Taking this into account, I decided to take a short break and start again on Monday (I.e. Tomorrow). In the meanwhile, I’m hoping to identify where I was going wrong and see if I can fix those mistakes over the next 5 days.

1.) I think the biggest issue is my grip; after searching through the forums a bit, I’m pretty sure that the reason I had trouble staying hard was that it was way too tight. Somehow, I was under the impression that you were really supposed to squeeze and drag the shaft while jelqing, but now it seems like that’s a very bad move. So obviously I should take it a little lighter from now on, but just how light? I know this can be kind of hard to describe, but just how hard or soft should the grip be?

2.) I’m also wondering if there’s some technique for jelqing that gets around the problem of pubic hair? With the alternating grips and lubricant, I’d almost inevitably end up pulling on hairs as I moved up the shaft.. Is there some way to avoid this (besides shaving it all off)? I was thinking maybe something like keeping one hand permanently at the base and letting the other do all the work.

3.) Kegels can be a bit of a problem, and I guss it’s like this for a lot of guys starting out. I’ve heard people mention here and there that they spread their kegeling out over the course of the days.is this right and how could I put it into practice to make my routine a little less cumbersome?

I did a lot of searching through the forums on these things, but I hope I can still get some direct answers.. I also hope the veterans don’t mind the “newbyness” of my questions here. Any help would be appreciated.. Cheers.

The point of the jelq is to move blood and exert pressure on the tunica (the tough covering of the corpora cavernosa - CC - the erectile chambers). Having at least a 50% erection will give you something to work with, but 70% is better. You can do whatever is necessary to get the erection (porn, etc.) as long as you try not to go completely hard. There’s no need to squeeze hard. Some guys use RB’s method which involves using the fingertips and thumb on each side to move the blood. It seems to be as effective as using the “OK” grip, which completely encircles the penis, because you’re concentrating the compression directly over each CC. You place the thumb on the top and the first and index fingertips on the bottom and compress the CC while moving the stroke away from you. It should be tight enough that you can feel the blood moving ahead of your fingers.

This method also helps reduce the problem with pubic hair. If you continue to use the “OK” grip and alternate hands, you’ll probably have to trim your pubes. Shaving isn’t necessary.

Kegels are an adjunct, an extra thing, that helps in penis health. They are not necessary for growth. They’re included in the Newbie Routine for completeness, but can be done at any time or not at all.

You might want to take a look at the NEW newbie + advanced routine as a lighter-weight alternative. And keep in mind that the Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine is a ceiling, not a floor. It’s OK to do less based on your PIs

On your jelqing grip, I would say grip firmly enough that you can feel that you are moving blood, and enough that your glans winds up firm at the end of the stroke. You don’t have to grip very hard to achieve that.

Trimming at the base works for getting around the problem of pubic hair.

Kegeling can be done at any time. Some members use a kegel at the end of a jelq stroke to push a little more blood in, but kegeling for the sake of muscle development can be done at any time.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.
