Go there. A few links down is the newbie routine, however I recommend reading most of what is on that page. It’ll take some time so do it over a few days. Basically I am saying you should be doing 7/10 of the time stretching. I wouldn’t cut out jelqing completely being as some people gain length from it, I never did though. And I also started with my girth around my length.so that might be a pattern.

Watch out for girth growing and length staying the same, that is a nasty cycle.

When I stretch? How hard should I be pulling?

It’s okay, it isn’t an actual thread that will come up, it is a link at the top of the newbie forum. You should be pulling as hard as you can without it hurting, However in the beginning I would say start lighter, here is why.

So lets “say” you start pulling with 20 lbs of pressure, which is close to your max pull. I think it might be overkill where you could gain at only 10 lbs of pull, and make gains more difficult later. Make sense?

Kinda so basically pull to the point where I kinda feel discomfort but not enough for it to cause harm?

And one last thing

I was watching the dry jelq and wet jelq he it looked like he was gripping so hard and pulling hard but I heard it was bad to do this?

I wouldn’t say discomfort. How about feel a stretch?

If you are doing the newbie routine and want to know how I did the manual stretches and still do for that fact, then here goes.

I do 5 or 6 sets of manual stretches. The first set, I stretch just so I feel the stretch and it is totally comfortable. Then in the second I stretch just so I before the edge of comfortable range without going past it. Then in the last sets I pull just so I am on the edge and this allows me to really concentrate on the stretch as I try to stretch as much as I can without going into discomfort. Hope that helps:)

Oh yeah and pay attention to your physiological indicators (PIs). There is a vevry good thread kicking abot from Sparkyx (if memory serves me right) which should be mandatory reading as it is so useful.

Length seems to be easier to gain for most prior to gaining girth (as it gets thicker, it seems to be less prone to stretch as much). You are at a great starting point, so focus on length first as it, theoretically, will be easier to gain without the added girth. Symmetry is a good thing!
