I am 8 weeks in my PE journey and my routine currently is…

3 min warm up (washcloth wrap over warm water)
5 min manual stretches, 30 sec all directions
5 min warm up
8 min jelq
8 min edging
5 min warm down with kegels

I have been very cautious so far and want to take it slow and steady to avoid injury. I feel I am getting a good workout but not seeing consistent wood at night and mornings. Otherwise EQ is great. Flaccid hang is awsome. Never negative PI’s. I am afraid of under traing. On days I do my routine and have sex that evening my night wood is raging. This would lead me to believe my dick is not getting enough during my actual workout.

Was thinking about gradually increasing jelq time to 15 min. Also when stretching I have noticed much less tension on my ligs. Particularly on the left side due to my left hang. (Before tension on the left was considerably tighter) Does this mean I need to start with v stretches to work the tunica? Any thoughts on routine changes are welcome.

I would bump your stretching time to 10 mins. For jelqing, you could increase the time, or try dry jelqing (more intense than wet). It can be tricky but I like it more than wet jelqing.

Thanks brad for the advice. Yesterday I tried v-stretches for the first time (substituted manual stretches) and it went well. Added 1 min to jelq time with increased intensity and wood last night was good. Woke up several times to a decent woody. Going to add a min each workout until I hit 15. Today going to do 10 min manual stretching like you suggested instead of v-stretch and see how that works. Guess I have been under traing now for several weeks. 😣 Better than over traing though! πŸ˜ƒStill getting the hang if this but I am determined to master it!!

Ok been a while since my last post and I am a little confused and need some advice. My wood at night and when I wake up is totally random. There is no consistency what so ever. This past Monday I did a modest workout, warm up, 5 min manual stretch all directions, (no more v-stretches as mentioned in previous post) 10 min jelq, (moderate grip) 10 min edging and a good warm down with kegels. Slept like a rock that night so didn’t NOTICE any wood. Woke up with a full semi. (Which is ok I guess). So the next day (tues) was a rest day, hang was decent, did some light JAI’s every piss. That night had great wood. Could feel before I fell asleep my penis contracting. A very full feeling. So Wednesday’s workout was the same and no wood that night. Woke up several times so was sure nothing was happening down there. In the morning my dick was not full at all!

What I am wondering about is why would I have such great wood the night of my day off? Shouldn’t great wood follow a workout day? If done properly I mean. I have been at PE for just over two months and feel I should be conditioned enough for the workout I am doing. Does great wood the night of a rest day mean my recovery rate from my workout is longer than usual? This would suggest over training, right? The only thing that is making me think otherwise is my erections are still easy to obtain and still very hard. Without any type of stimulates whatsoever. I feel that for me the line between over/under training is a fine one. I know since I am not sure the wise thing to do would be to take a break and if night wood increases, I was over doing it. If it decreases all together I was under training. Just hate to take a break! Anyone’s take on this would be much appreciated!!

Should note that have not noticed any gains in the past couple weeks.
Have started a log that will hopefully help me dial in.

Hi TypicalGuy001,

You could be having night wood and not even know it, try wrapping a piece of cellulose tape around your penis with a small contact area and see if it is broken apart in the morning.

Remember your penis is trying to heal the night of a workout, sometimes this is enough for the brain to be signaled not to release NO and make it hard the feedback loops in our body are amazing to say the least.

It never hurts to take a week or two off and let your unit recover fully, many find this is when they grow. Don’t hate the break, embrace it, you may come back and find that you get more growth from less time doing PE again, this is a great way to stop getting too conditioned too fast, just keep up the Kegels, and do some Piss Pulls while you are having a break, tntjockey has a great thread about it here.

Thank you my friend, you always come through for me when I am distressed! 😁 I have really considered taking a week or two off and wondered if this would be the right time. I think this is a good time. To fully recover, and to answer some questions about my routine and make changes if nessesary. I have read accounts of people taking weeks off (some not by choice) and surprisingly noting gains in the end. I have been religiously working my unit for almost ten weeks now, so might be time to give the boy a rest.

Night/morning wood has been my only hurdle thus far, and damn has been a thorn in my side. When every other aspect of my PE has been perfect, hard to overlook such an important ingredient. I am so obsessed with monitoring what my dick is telling me. Maybe too obsessed (If that is possible).

How’s your gains been going TypicalGuy001? You seem to have out gained me even though I started first. Looks like lower intensity might work better instead of changing it at the 6 weeks mark

It is very good how you have gain. I will try to make a routine like this one. the 7 inches is my goal ( for now ). We shall see what happens.

Thanks guys. Yes my length gains have been good. Think it is because my ligs were really tight. I mean when I started with this I could only use very minimal force while stretching. Especially down and right (due to my left curve). I could really feel the burn, but now I don’t. When I last took an official measurement on 8/9/13 I was shocked to see the 6” mark nbp. As far as since then I am not sure if I have gained. I don’t measure often and my next planned tally is the end of this month. It’s kind of funny but I use an electric cig that is 6 1/2” inches long and occasionally when I get good and hard will do a quick comparison with it.

When it comes to my routine since I started on 6/14 I have only changed jelq time and intensity. At first I did more jelqing than recommended (15 min) and got good results, EQ and PI’s. Then I noticed very random/less wood at night and on the mornings so cut way back to 5 min jelqing. (Thinking I was doing too much, and after reading less is more thread) Did this for quit a while before upping the time about one min per session with more intensity, to where I am now with 10 min (wet jelq). It is strang because some days after a workout my hang is great and the next morning no wood. And take for instance yesterday after my routine I was turtled all evening, but this morning woke up with a woody. WTF?!?

I am going to measure this evening before taking a week or two off from PE. Doing this for three reasons. To fully heal, to get a good idea if my current routine is too much or too little, and to see if I gain any during my break. Who knows, might pick up another 1/4”? πŸ˜‰
