I guess it depends on shape as well as other factors. My cock gets thinner at the end and this can make jelqing awkward.

Proper jelqing technique is hard to master regardless of the size or shape. Big, small, narrow or wide… if its hurting, you are doing it wrong. Keep reading and keep practicing until you get it right. :)
