The Newbie Routine is only a guide

The Newbie Routine is only a guide

I see a lot of new PE’rs, (including me), obsessing on their routine’s amount of time and repetitions for each exercise.

It seems to me that the newbie and linear newbie routines are simply a starting point. It seems to me, that if you FEEL like the job is getting done in 15 minutes, and you start to see gains, than that is what you should follow.

I think many newbies, (once again, including me), are gung ho to get gains, and do routines down to the minute, and over analyze warm up, time spent, correct technique etc.

What I am saying here, is that your routine and your unit are uniquely YOURS. So, research like crazy and try to use the best technique. But, if your dick hurts, stop. If it feels like your pushing it, stop.

I know this has been said before, but I see a lot of posts with members talking about injuries and/or no gains etc. “and I was only following the newbie routine”.

Taylor PE to you. Several members have only jelqed and manually stretched for months or years, and made incredible gains. I recall one such member saying that he “gets creative”.

I like that way of thinking. Take the newbie routine as a baseline, listen to your dick, watch your PI’s and don’t sweat the exact amount of time or number of jelqs etc. Find out what works for you.

I know that I am still in this process, but without a stopwatch and ruler in my hands.

Paraphrased: It is not the critic who counts: The credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, who, at the best, knows the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.

Good post. The newbie routine is a good framework or template to work within. And a perfect starting point.

You get a chance to learn your dick with some basics which is important because everyone needs to learn their dick and PE for themselves. Asking people for help with a routine can be a good thing but in the end, you need to be the one who makes the dick grow bigger. Listening to the dick, finding out what works and what doesn’t and experimenting increases chances for success because we all have different levels of tolerance of the exercise, different sweet spots and different gaining rates. Tayloring PE for you increases chances of finding your sweet spot.

Thanks for posting on this thread Cuban. I am still relatively new here, but I frequently see people talking about injuries after “just doing the newbie routine”. I am continuing to get creative, and enjoy the experience. Gaining will be fun. (in fact I’ve gained a little in both girth and length already). But, I won’t be crushed if I don’t break a record, or don’t gain much at all.

I look at PE as a little secret that people are afraid to talk about. However, it just seems like many are trying so hard, that they are actually working against themselves. (I can just picture someone tugging away, gritting his teeth, and checking the ruler and tape measure everyday)

I probably check measurements too often, but more out of curiosity than desperation. I do think RELAXING is much more important than time spent, reps achieved or devices purchased.

Good advice Jazz,

You´re exactly right

This is a good post. Everyone should read it.

Maybe I should change the name of the thread to “Relax and Enjoy the Growth.”

I agree. I’ve said this before, but the newbie routine is just the starting point, just like you said Acid Jazz. What a lot of people don’t understand is how your hands make every difference in the world.
As a newbie you have no reason to even think about devices. Your hands are the best tool you have, manual work. That’s why there’s a Newbie Routine. The Newbie routine really isn’t there to be preformed the same way it tells you too for 3,4,5 months. It’s there To familiarize you on what your penis can handle. And your hands control everything. It’s all about how you feel while your performing, and how you use your hands to accommodate.
That’s why it says to gradually increase your min of workout within 6 weeks. That’s telling you within 6 weeks you should have found a workout that works for you. If your jelqing hard and it hurts, ease up. If your getting no pump at all when jelqing, squeeze harder, maker sure you jelqing for 3 sec each. It never shoots from no pump to pain, there’s a fine line which you need to find.
If you get a negative PI or very fatigued, that should tell you that you need to ease up on what ever you did. It’s the newbie routine. You make mistakes and learn from them, that doesn’t mean Start a tread about why your penis is fatigued, you can, but it’s irrigating for the older members and moderators. Just use common sense, and take it easy.
After a few months of the newbie routine you should have great technique and have some nice gains, then if gains start to decrease look into the advanced routine + newbie routine. But don’t automatically jump into the advanced routine or even think about picking up devices until you’re 110% positive your technique is perfect and there’s nothing you can do to gain.

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

Nah, just kidding. But it’s a very good starting point.

Just thought I’d ask a quick question.

I’ve just done my first Jelq, and is masturbating immediately afterwards ok or is it counterproductive? All the stroking puts me in the mood.

Start 27/11/14: Erect Length 7.0" Erect girth 4.9"

Goal: Erect Length 8.00" Erect girth 5.5" (long term)

Firegoat has answered this in another thread.
