Testicle check

Just wanted to throw this out there. While we all have hands on our package during PE, it might be a good idea to check your testicles afterwards for lumps and other signs of cancer, once a month or so. Penis health is number 1 priority right!

Does anybody do this?

Yes. In the shower. Easy to do. There are a lot of Net sites which explain the proceedure and what to feel for.

I got lumps on the back of both testicals. They’ve been there for years, have not grown, and don’t hurt.

They’re probably going to be there the rest of my life.

UD, do you suddenly get flashes of pain in your nuts in the middle of the night? I have a couple of light switches that don’t seem to be connected to anything and I sometimes hit them by mistake in the dark.

Same here dude. I got a little lump on one of my balls, been there for ages, don’t grow and doesn’t hurt. Peanuts.

I get lumps on my let nut, it is like it is the only one that produces sperm because it will go away if I ejaculate everything

No. No aches or pains.

According to last link, men who are at higher risk include those who are:

-Are Caucasian
-Have a testicle that did not drop down into the scrotum—or the sac that contains the testicles—by age 3
-Have a father or brother who had testicular cancer
-Have small or abnormally shaped testicles.

I’ve recently started developing lumps on both of my testicles in the exact same spot. Although, I wouldn’t really call them lumps so much as tissue extended from the testicle.. almost like:

Where the top (as the testicle hangs) is on the right and the bottom is on the left.

About a month and a half ago it started on my left, and now the same thing is starting on my right. The arc length covered by the extending tissue is slightly exaggerated in the picture, but that gives you the gist of it. I haven’t had any pain or discomfort along with this. However, within the last two weeks the same things has been developing on my right testicle. Now, since an identical thing is happening in an identical spot.. I’m not sure what to think. Either it’s just my genetics being lame and stressing me out for no reason or there is something I should be actually worried about. Regardless, I have an appointment scheduled with a friend of the family who is a urologist in Toronto.

I’m guessing (and hoping) that it’s all nothing. So wish me luck. I’ll keep you guys posted through this thread and give you any info I come by from the doc himself.

I’m guessing you’ll be OK. Let us know what he says. Sometimes when we do these self-exams we get just a little crazy imagining things. :) But they need checking out.

I’m pretty empirical when it comes to pretty much everything. So, I can say with some conviction that I’m not just imagining things or letting my mind get the best of me. Haha.. I managed to convince myself that while the left testicle was the only one afflicted. Now that righty is joining the party, it’s pretty hard to just chalk it all up to self-created anxiety or minor delusion.

The diagnosis is that they are benign sists. Going for an ultrasound on Monday to confirm. Also, it turns out the doc that is a friend of the family is a woman… Generally I enjoy it when a woman is all over my nuts, but not in this event. It’s not so fun forcing yourself to supress a half-stock that you developed during the preexam interview while an attractive asian doctor has your pants down and her hands on your boys.

Anyways, I’m relieved to say the least. Just hoping the ultrasound results do indeed correspond to the diagnosis.

Ok let me tell you about my problem:

I have been experiencing some very sharp and acute pains in my testicles and mainly in my right one. I have also had for probably about 2 weeks enlarged/swollen vein on my right testicle. Always when I touch it it really hurts. Furthermore I have had that urinary urge/ urinary freqeuncy for about 10 days. I went to the emergency department of our hospital on Saturday in the night, beacuse I was experiencig very bad pains.

The physician checked all parts of my body and said that I am OK and fit and I have no diseases and inflammations , etc. But because I had this Urinary Urge they prescibed some medicine to me and I started taking it immediately. In the next four days I experienced such pains throughout the whole day, just nothing got better and on Thursday I felt so bad that I thought I will die, and I had so bad Urinary Urge that I couldn’t go out of the restroom. Just things went worse. I managed to go to the doctor and he found out that I have prostate inflammation. So he prescribed me some other medecine. Today in the afternoon I felt even worse, I checked many sites on the Internet just to learn what it is. I thought that this enlarged vein is a VARICOCELE, my testicles really hurt, i felt like they started growing. I went immediately again to the emergency department.

I explained my whole story to the physician. I told her that the medecine theyd prescribed to me last week hadn’t helped, I told her that the other medecine against the inflammation of the prostate hadn’t helped. And finally I told her about my enlarged vein on my right testicle about the acute pains in the testicles, I just said I was sure it is VARICOCELE. She had a look at them and said: ” This is normal. Such vein enlargement happen to young people very often, just wear loose underwear.” About the pains: “They will stop and go away very soon. It is normal at your age(I am 24)”. I asked her:” It is not possible that I have no problems. I have an enlarged vein, I have pains in the testicles, I have penis shrinkage, I have pains in the groin, in the lower abdomen. It is not possible I am OK. I have definitely some real problems.Please I need your help. I am feeling everyday worse and worse. The medecine doesn’t work”. (For you guys keep in mind that I am in the emergency department). The physcian called another one and I explained again the whole story to him. He did the same tests and said ” You are OK, You should not worry about that pains, enlarged vein, etc.Everything will go away in a couple of days. And You are not having any problems, just every pain and so on is due to stress. You think you are sick . You are healthy.” They asked me if I have too much stress at work , at University and so on.

Now (2 hours later )I am at home. Actually, I feel better and I think I have no pains.

Conclusion> We just take the things very seriously. But it is always better to go to doctor, just to be sure you are OK. I went 3 times this week :) ))). I will see probably I will be even better tomorrow. Let me go take my pills and I will write again tomorrow.
