Teach me to jelq

So I have been PE-ing for many weeks now. I gained very little so far (or nothing, I’m not sure about my initial girth measurements) - some of you will say it’s normal and I generally trust the knowledge of this forum (otherwise I would undergo a surgery instead of working my ass off with manual PE), but my instinct tells me I have no idea what am I doing. So I want to discuss a proper jelqing technique. I know this has been covered many times (I actually read many posts about it), but between many different experiences and opinions, I feel a bit lost. I recently read braindrain’s posts, where among other things he talked about what he found to be the best jelqing technique for him. The post-jeqling temporary erect size increase was his major indicator of how good his technique was. Which made me think “wait a minute.. I have no temporary erect size increase.. So how am I supposed to have permanent increase if I can’t even increase it temporarily?”.

So let me cover all my observations and please let’s discuss which route I should go down.

-Wet jelq, little erection, standing: I don’t feel pressure in my penis (obviously because of low erection level); I enjoyed it because it didn’t require much strength and therefore didn’t tire me and could easily do 200; I liked it also because basically any grip was squeezing my penis the right way; afterwards I had positive PIs (morning/night woods, temporary flaccid size increase)
-Wet jelq, high erection, standing: I feel some pressure in my penis but not enough to make me think “this is it”; makes me sweat a bit to keep the erection up and to put enough force with my grip; because of erection level, the only grip I find working is overhand OK and I need to make sure I squeeze my penis from its top and bottom side (if I squeeze sides, it feels like trying to squeeze a bone and I feel no pressure); neutral PIs (minor discolorations)
-Dry jelq, high erection, laying on back: huge pressure in my penis; really tiresome and I can’t imagine doing more than 100 jelqs; again only overhand OK works for me here; neutral PIs (lots of spotting)

So none of the above brought me temporary erect size increase of any kind. I appreciate your thoughts on this.

How many weeks is “many”?

Right what is many weeks? How conditioned are you? What was your routine? Have you tried the V jelq? None of us can physically teach you to jelq and jelqing alone may not give you permanent gains. Of course it may but we have no way of knowing from one guy to the next.

You don’t need to do lots of dry jelqs for them to be effective. I’m on a routine of 6 minutes dry jelqing (2 sets of 3 minutes) which usually comes out to around 70 reps for me; once or twice a week I’ll add in maybe 1-2 minutes of manual stretches just to mix things up a little, but that’s literally my entire routine. I’ve been doing it for about 3 weeks now and have already gained over 1/8” in length and similar/slightly larger girth (there are some days where I get probably at least 1/4” girth expansion if I edge afterward, but I didn’t measure on those days so who knows how much bigger it actually was).

Obviously I’m not a big gainer (yet…) and I’m not even close to being a senior member on this forum, but in my opinion and experience it’s all about listening to your dick and how it feels. You want to find that sweet spot where you’re sore after every workout but not in pain, and when you wake up the next day your dick feels normal. It sounds like your dick is responding to low-erection wet jelqs the best. I’d tinker around with a slightly higher erection-level (going up from, say, 35% to 50-60%) if you want a little more expansion during each rep, but otherwise I’d just continue doing those and pay close attention to how your dick responds.

Sorry for being ambiguous with those weeks, didn’t really see why it would be relevant to jelqing technique. It’s been roughly 3 months.

SexualKungFu your advice about going with what worked best so far and amping it up seems logical. But I’m still wondering should I see temporary erect size increase after the jelqing session (as an indicator of good session)?

Goal 8 x 6

In my opinion the size gains from jelquing are from an increase in health and blood flow. If you already were near healthy normal blood flow you might not see many gains. Have you start stretching or doing girth exercises?

I found this to be true for me when I began jelqing many years ago.

It’s relevant because time is a huge factor in PE. 3 months of what? What was the actual routine? Give us an idea on your routine and maybe one of us can give you idea on what you can try next.

Being somewhat stupid it took me awhile to realize there are very descriptive posts and even videos of folks teaching about this here.

Don’t be lazy. Just jelqing will not give you results. You need to stretch it too.

Honestly that depends on your other PI’s. If you’re seeing temporary expansion but your EQ is bad or you’re not getting consistent morning/night wood or your flaccid is smaller and turtling then that doesn’t necessarily mean the expansion you’re getting is a good thing. I’d say erection quality and frequency are better indicators. That’s a sign that your current workout is healthy and you’re not over-training.
