I’ve been reading a lot lately to try to find an alternative for my hanging routine. It simply hurt too much, took up too much time, and wasn’t giving me results. I tried jelqing for the first time, and it seems to have an effect, after two days, my penis is swollen. It is kind of sore, but it doesn’t really hurt at all. It’s only about 3/4 of my penis, the lower part is sore but not swollen. I’m excited because this is the first time I’ve felt fatigue and not extreme pain. I tried icing it, but it had no effect. I’ve been keeping a heating pad on it. How bad is swelling? Is it something that you don’t want to see at all? Should I rest tomorrow or just cut my routine in half? It’s not really a routine yet, I haven’t gotten into the rhythm. I just jelq until my hand is tired, then heat until I’m ready to do it again. What’s a good routine? And what kind of gains can I expect?

Well. I think you are overdoing. A bit sore isn’t bad, but if your penis is swelling after two days, you’ve done too much.

Try one of the routine listed in my signature, and let us know how it goes.

PS: you are not supposed to ‘icing’, expecially after jelqs.

I believe that to be a bit soar between each exercise is ideal. But to be soar when one starts working out may damage, it’s a fine line. Better to take it down a notch than to injure rather than grow. Controlled trauma, I think is the key

same here, just jelq again when the swollen gone.
