I was wondering what is the general opinion on which is the more effective/important PE exercise- Stretching or Jelqing?

I’ve done the newbie routine for a few months now, I started doing it without heat for a month. Stretching felt like a waste of time and jelqing felt effective for a bit of length and girth. The girth gain was more than the length gain. When I applied heat, I’ve started getting a more stretched feeling while stretching, it felt great, Jelqing also felt better. My gains went up, got more length and a bit more girth. I like to think that my length gains are more from stretching with heat and girth gains from jelqing.


Start: 5.75 inch BPEL 4.75 inch girth BSEG (Nov 1 2007)

Current: 7.4 inch BPEL 5.4 inch MSEG 5.75 inch BSEG (Oct 24 2009)

Goal: 7 inch NBPEL 5.5 inch EG=> New Goal: 7.75 inch BPEL 5.75 MSEG

I don’t think you are going to find a general opinion except that maybe BOTH are important. Some swear by one method others by the other. Then others do both. What kind of gains are you looking for. Or are you doing PE for sexual health benefits?

Stretching is good for length. Jelqing is good for girth.


September 20, 2007: BPEL: 5.8 inches, EG: <5.5 inches

March 15, 2008: BPEL: 7.6 inches, EG: 5.75 inches

Yes, that's a gain of 1.8 inches. And no... That's not my real picture.

Don’t think of them as either/ or- rather think of them as complementary.

Even Bib, the king of hanging [arguably the ultimate s-t-r-e-t-c-h], used jelqs [milking he called it] as recovery between hanging sets.

Currently I’m looking into some length gains, so I was wondering which should I prioritize.

Sorry to tell you- the standard response will be to do both.

There are innumerable threads addressing the merits of either/ or vs both- dig about a bit and you’ll come across enough to draw your own conclusions

I personally think jelqing is the key of most PE. Stretching works one thing, while jelqing gives both legth and girth gains. I think jelqing is key

I agree — Jelqing and Stretching are both necessary.

Personally I find the stretching kind of tiring. It is hard for me to do both Stretching and Jelqing in the same workout. So my routine has evolved into

Morning Stretches

Afternoon Jelqs

That has worked pretty well for me so far.

Additionally in my newbie routine I did not do a ton of stretches or jelqs — only 3 sets of 5 way stretches, and about 90 jelgs. I gained with that. This kind of lighter routine seems to work for some guys better.

Perhaps jelqing works to tire the tissues and then the stretching has less resistance and helps to remodel the length?

That might be a possibility. I always find that stretching gives a much better, for lack of better word, stretch as compared to jelqing where the semi-erect state kind of inhibits the extent of stretching. Perhaps this might be a problem with my method of jelqing?

I clicked ‘new thread’ and couldn’t see the actual post option within all the rules so I dug up an old post.

Here is my question (this is my first post):

Currently, I do jelqing and basic manual stretching (straight out, down, up, left, right).

I’ve noticed my penis is most flexible after jelqing and not after stretching.

If I jelq for 30 minutes, I’m able to get ~1/4 more BPFSL than both my normal state and my after stretched BPFSL. After I stretch, not only is my penis not engorged because I stretch at 0-15% erection level, but it is also not as long.

Given this, would it be wise to replace stretching with more jelqing since that seems to give me a better response or am I not stretching correctly.
