Stretching Question

So I’m new and just started the newbie routine. I find that while doing stretching I can’t seem to be able to do the full stretch routine without getting erect (which I understand doing any exercise while fully erect can be dangerous). I get done with the 30 sec upward stretch but half way through the downward stretch I’m on my way to being fully erect. I’m gripping below the glands but if I go any lower I’m just tugging on skin which I’ve read doesn’t bring in results. Is it normal at first for this to happen and will my body eventually condition to not getting erect during this exercise? Jelqing I have no issue with.

Goal: BPEL 7" x 5.5" Dream Goal: 8"+

From what I can tell it seems to be pretty normal for beginners. I had the same issue until recently and I found it is just something you have to work through by take little breaks to let it loosen up.
