Stretching intensity question from a newbie

Stretching intensity question from a newbie

Hi, everyone!

It’s my first post here and I found this forum by accident when searching for an answer online.

I’ve read the forum for a couple of days and decided to retry the newbie routine this week (I had contact with PE a few years ago, but never went through with it).

On the first day, I decided to do only stretches (after a 5 minute warm up) with a 15 second duration each, just to get the hang of it.

On the second day, I did the warm up and extended the stretches to the 30 second mark (10 stretches, 2 on each direction and 2 on a rotatory motion).

On the first day, I got no strange sensation, but after the second session, I got a weird feeling on the base of the penis. It’s hard to explain in English (sorry, not my mother language). I wouldn’t say it’s a soreness, because it doesn’t hurt, but it’s kind of a tugging, pressure sensation on the ligament, just at the base. It was more prominent after the exercises and basically when I contacted my abdomen (like an ab exercise or when you get up from laying on the bed).
On the day after (today, which is the day off) the feeling is present, but with a much smaller intensity.

I guess the question is: is this the normal feeling when stretching the ligaments to damage, heal and grow, or am I applying too much pressure on the stretch?

How do I know I’m applying the right amount of pressure? I’m trying to feel the base stretched when pulling without hurting the penis, but it’s hard to measure what is right.

Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer!

Hey Asal!

Welcome to Thunders.

In general, jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans. Grip your penis below the glans when stretching and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel tension on your shaft.

A little tugging/soreness is not unusual as long as it dissaoates over your day(s) off.

Hey, Dtwarren!

Thanks for the reply!
I got some rest and took two off days and the feeling is gone. I guess it´s back to stretching, then!

The thing is, I can get different levels of tension without hurting (at least at the time). I´m worried that if I don´t put tension enough, it might net no gains. But I´ll try to lighten the pressure and see how it goes at first. I´m in no rush, really.

Give this thread a read if you are just starting out. I talk about how to stretch effectively in post #19

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results
