I’m seriously worried about how much force to use in a jelq.
I feel like barely doing more than when masturbating.. Just a bit more.. Isn’t enough..

I don’t know what’s “too much” though.. To where I won’t gain >>

As long as you get a raging hard boner the next morning with no decrease in erection quality, then you are fine.


Past: 5-5.5" BPEL x 4.5" GIRTH

Raging hard - I think not necessarily but boner - a must !

I jelq with strong grip ! I would suggest- as strong as you fell comfortable ((without any pain), you should feel or at least have an impression that it is it working, and so you don’t get injured !

Make sure when you grip, you are able to trap the blood and move it around.

Do as much as is good for you! I have never ever burst a vain on jelqing alone. Too much pressure will only appear when I am squeezing the head at the same time. Try to start the second stroke before you’re finished with the first one. You will find the pressure good in an odd way.

I would usually start with weaker grips in the beginning of my jelqing routine. Gradually increase the grip strength as you go through your workout. As long as there is no pain then you’re fine. You should feel pressure building up and a great stretch, but as soon as there’s pain, stop immediately. Just my two cents.

I agree with CleanNCrisp. Start easy. All you need to do is be sure blood is being trapped by your jelq, and that really does NOT take much pressure. I don’t believe there is the need for the slightest pain or discomfort. I definitely have jelqed too hard in the past, and my erection quality suffered. I’ve now pulled back on the pressure (and length of time) and my erection quality and night/morning wood are remarkably stronger. Healthy penis first!

I say you should jelq just hard enough to glide along the skin. If your jelqing hard enough to change the shape of your penis too much, I.e. Thicker behind and in front of your grip, your doing it too hard.

CleanNCrisp mentioned that you should feel a stretch… I can’t really feel the stretch, but I can tell that there’s more blood in there than usual if I *try* to feel it…

I don’t see how all your guys are gaining girth in such a short period of time while jelqing. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. I do the newbie routine. When I jelq, I can see and feel the blood moving in my penis up to the head. I use the king pole method of jelqing where I OK grip with one hand just before the head and then with the other hand, jelq up to the OK grip. After jelqing, my girth increases by 3/16 of an inch. Then shrinks back down to what it was the first time I measured it. I do throw in some jelqs as shown in the video, and I do throw in some kegel jelqs. All I’ve read about here. Am I missing something? On a positive note, I have gained about 1/2 inch in length.

Now for me, this sounds like masturbation. Maybe thats why its a difficult question to answer; we each have differing optimum force? I don’t know.

I thought the point of jelqing is to cause expansion in front of your hand? I kind of increase the strength of my grip throughout the session. On the videos and instructional pics it seemed to show a fairly solid grip, with the part in front of the grip being more swollen than behind. Is that incorrect?
