Strange Newbie Gains

I’ve been at it about 2 months now (jelqing/stretching/pumping) and have had impressive gains in girth but little to none in length. I started at 5X5 NBPEL/EG and have gained an inch in girth (mid). Reading through this site it seems length is easier than girth especially for newbie gains. Are these gains really strange? Has anyone else had this experience? Will I see length gains soon?

Welcome and holy crap, you gained an inch in girth in just 2 months, that’s very impressive.

Length should come eventually.

I envy your quick gains. No it is not strange, newbie gains are relatively quick in either or both directions. It is hard to tell if you will have as much or good length gains. You will just have to wait and see.

I don’t think an inch in girth is particularly usual for a newbie.

That’s a lot of girth.

Nnelg, what is your routine? You don’t sound as if you’re doing the newbie routine. What the hell are you doing?

I’m doing 3 sets 15 minute pumping staging from 1.75 to 2.0 inch tubes at pressure of no more than 5. In between pumping, 3 sets 10-15 minutes wet jelqs followed by hot shower with 30 second stretches in each direction.

Yea I thought the girth gain was great but would really like to see some length.

Forgot to add that that my routine goes 4 days on with 1 day off.

Add stretching for length

I’m stumped.

Maybe try hanging and only pump one or two sets after for circulation?

Dang guy! I would love to have an inch of girth drop in my lap! What is your girth goal?

If you are close or already there you may want to consider starting a length

intensive routine. Maybe with some hanging as Mr. Happy suggests. You definitely want to get stretching

going. Maybe drop the pumping?

I wouldn’t drop the pumping. If you want your results to last there’s a bit of upkeep for a while.

Heat and stretch. Hang. Jelq. Pump. Jelq. Stretch…

Got it! Thanks for all the advice. I have bought a static stretcher but haven’t had time to assemble and use it yet. I will try that along with hanging (I’m looking at the Bib Hanger).

Don’t get me wrong I am very happy/ecstatic with the girth gains and if nothing at all happens from here on out I at least have that area above normal. I went into this thinking “yea right this is gonna work” and now I am thinking “holy sh*t this really does work!”

One question.. Should I stay with 4 on 1 off or go to 5 on 2 off as allot of others seem to be doing?

Do your 4 on 1 off because you have been gaining from that. When your gains slow or stop then try the 5 on 2 off.
