Some length, but no girth gains; reason to modify?

Some length, but no girth gains; reason to modify?

So yeah, the title pretty much says it all: I believe I’ve achieved some length gains (once again), but girth is a non-mover. I left a full two weeks between measurements.

I am on the newbie routine and currently jelq for 16 minutes (along with stretching, heat, kegels etc.).

Any thoughts on what I should do, if anything?

STARTING STATS - 02/02/2015: BPEL 7.6 --- MEG 5.25 --- 5.25" with semi erection; but 5.16 MEG with 100% boner; BEG 5.47

CURRENT - 13/03/2015: I had to check a few times, but I'm pretty sure I got a genuine BPEL 7.8!! Will check girth again in a couple of weeks

GOAL: BPEL 8.50 --- MEG 5.5 --- BRING IT ON! (I've revised my goals for the time being; maybe I was being too ambitious too early on)

I am old school so “any gains are good gains!” Also length gains before girth gains is pretty common.

I would not change anything yet, you are gaining. Tweaking your routine could result in no more length gains rather than sudden girth gains. I would stick with what is working until it stops.

And, unfortunately, some guys seem to have difficulty gaining girth. (or vice-versa) I agree with iamaru, any gains are good. Enjoy whatever you get.

I think you should think in longer timeframes. IMO you are jumping the gun too fast.

Generally doing jelqs at higher errection % might help girth(like 75%). Also doing them slower.
But obviously you are not conditioned enough to really do something advanced regarding girth.
You should get at least 3 months constant newbie routine and then adjust.

You always should look to have a good EQ or be one day away from a good EQ.

Thanks, and thanks to everybody else for their answers.

What I had in mind was perhaps adding as little as a minute’s worth of jelqs per week (since the newbie routine suggested increasing to 30 minutes-worth over 6 weeks). But maybe I should just stick it out a while.

The EQ thing is a bit of an ongoing issue for me. I can achieve excellent erection level when edging, can control it through jelqing, and whatnot. But, because I am such a depressive, I don’t get really get spontaneous erections throughout the day. I’m too much of a misery. As for during the night: if I’m having a good night of sleep then I get good boners, but where I’m stuck awake at night, not even a marrow.

If you see where I’m going with this, it appears that my nitewood and morning wood issues are stress and depression related rather than over-training related - because good stuff happens when my mind is clear and I’m sleeping well.

How should I judge this? Is the overall picture a good EQ? Sigh. So many aspects to this.

Overall sounds like good PI ‘s.
This is no exact science so you have to gauge the factors roughly and you do that good I think.
Once you have EQ problems and bad PI ‘s for longer time and you can relate it to your routine you should adjust towards less time/intensity.
If you have good Pi ‘s overall then there is room to increase time / intensity. But of course only if you dont gain. If you gain or see improvement you want to keep doing what you do.
In any case stick to the newbie routine for at least 3 months or even more and then adjust to get into more advanced exercises if you need specific parts to devlope.

For depression you first have to get the basics right which are fresh air, light and rather healthy food. Sounds beaten but thats truly the basics.
If then still thoughts etc. play with you you need meditation to focus on a single presently aware neutral thing.(increase time until you can hold that focus for a good amount).
Only then you have the base to target any other problems.

Of course, my biggest concern is the thought that my jelqing may be ineffective for some reason. I mean, I’ve tried to follow all the guidelines as suggested in the numerous threads that come up periodically — putting pressure on the sides, slow reps, and so on. But a part of me thinks that there’s something or other I might be doing wrong.

There’s a bit of a learning curve with jelqing effectively. It took some of us a few months before we really got the hang of it. There’s a possibility that your jelqs just aren’t as efficient as they might be. Once you figure it out you’ll know.

well you can only find out by doing.
In a simple way..if you get expansion and a reaction of your dick that is positive (positive PI ) then you are on your way.
If you have negative PI ‘s that are in direct correlation to your routine and exercises then chances are you are doing it wrong.

In either case your statments appear as overworrying but you did certainly identify that your EQ problems have a correlation with a mental state/stress.
So go on and observe the feedback your dick gives in relation to what you do. Cause all the thinking does nothing if you dont have real feedback that is created by doing.

Don’t modify your routine if you’re gaining. Why modify something that is working?

If you’re gaining length but don’t have morning/night wood, IMO, it’s ok, I’ve been under stress recently and it happens to me as well but I haven’t lost size or anything.

If I’m reading your sig correctly, you’ve been doing PE since early Feb? I’d stay the course. You’re only eight weeks in, so any gains at this point is fantastic news. A lot of people experience length gains before girth, so there’s an excellent chance girth gains are on the way.

You’re not even at 2 months…and you’re gaining… don’t change a thing!

I know I was tempted by this, it seems only logical to want to get more, do more, try something else to get it faster, but the one piece of advice you’ll hear over and over is if you’re currently gaining, keep doing exactly what you’re doing.
