Softening During Jelqs

I’m sure there’s a thread about this, I just have not found it. So maybe you awesome moderators can point me in the right direction.

Both years ago and now, as I’m jelqing, instead of some people here who have gotten erect, I soften substantially. I go from a near erect state (work myself usually to around 75%) to floppy and malleable. Now, while the overhand jelqing that everyone went wild about not too long ago helping with that somewhat, I’m still pretty flaccid by the time I reach about 20 strokes.

When you all jelq, do you stop at a certain interval to bring it back up to the amount you started with? If so, what’s worked best? 20, 30, 40 strokes?

I’d think it is better to do all your jelq’s continuously or as many at once as possible. In order to maintain erection level, watching some pornography or something on that order usually helps me just fine

It’s normal. You just stop untill you regain the erection level, and add more strokes; you can masturbate to go hard again. But if you can’t do the programmed number of jelqs in a reasonable amount of time, than, yes, something is wrong. I’d say: too tight grip.

Essentially what I do is kegel into the base grip and then reverse kegel throughout the jelq. This gives me must more consistent erection levels while jelqing as well as greater erection control. The strength of the kegel is proportionate to the erection level needed, if I’m going flaccid I kegel harder, if I’m getting to firm I kegel softer or stop altogether. The reverse kegel can be pretty consistent throughout. There are threads available that explain kegel and reverse kegel techniques.

My response to almost the exact same question on these boards earlier today. Another trick is to add a “quick stroke” between jelqs to maintain the erection level, however I’ve found that once I started incorporating kegels and reverse kegels into my routine that I rarely have to do this.

Thanks for your quick responses, guys. It’s good to know there’s a variety of ways to handle that. Unfortunately, there’s no way I could look at porn while doing this, as it’s kind of done in a stealthy manner.

I agree with this as this is also what I do.

Normally in a Jelq session I have to spend a couple of mins working myself back into an erection then I start again with the jelqs.

As for your kegel question. Occasionally I kegel after 4 or 5 strokes and on that “kegelled” stroke I jelq very slowly just to try and trap blood in the penis.

I guess I could do a combination of both, if it gets too limp, resort to stroking, but if I can keep it up, kegeling. Unfortunately, I don’t have very powerful kegels, and it may convince me to do some of them after the session is over.

Fortunately, I usually clamp my fingers down on the base of my dick to get it back up, and I’m almost hard after about 10-15 seconds at most, it’s just inconvenient to do every 30-40 strokes or so, maybe.

I trhink you are doing not bad. And Kegel’s won’t hurt.

I’ve found I like the flaccid jelq.

Ill warm up and slap my unit against both legs lightly to get the blood going.Then jelq with left hand, thumb and fore finger against base.Grip hard and slowly pull till I hit the glands.I get a good pump going,Ill start to gain erection level.When I do I sqeeze the base with my right hand,grab mid shaft with my left and sqeeze hard and bend my unit maybe 40* release the right hand then the left.Usually two of these gets my erection level back down and I go back to my flaccid jelq.I’m starting to get some pretty good results from this.

That’s a good technique to try, and I’ll give it a shot tonight and let you all know how it goes. Thanks to you and everyone else for giving me the advice.

Well, I tried that tonight (speaking of which) and the jelqing was dramatically improved. Instead of stopping regularly, it was only after each 50, which I used a series of kegels to help get it back up. It was awesome, and I don’t think I’ve seen my dick swell to that extent before.

I guess this means more kegel practices are ahead.

If I feel myself getting soft, after a stroke I’ll sort of rub the head to get it hard again while keeping the other hand around the base.

A hand around the base works wonders, more than anything else. The ballooning effect feels really nice to stroke over, I must admit. :D
