Silicon based stretchers

Is there any dangerous to the constant exposure to the silicon. I’ve read somewhere (can’t recall) that silicon rubbed on the skin for an extended period of time could do something. Thoughts?

I have been using a silicone cap ADS for a year now with no ill effect from the silicone. I would think that just like latex some are sensitive and some are not. Silicone ads are cheap enough so give it a try. If you get a rash you’ll know to stop using it.
