I agree that clamping is not the best exercise for length — it’s a girth exercise. But, I continued to gain length while clamping, and I’ve continued to gain length after clamping, so I don’t think this is necessarily true. That said, if you’re new enough to PE that you have to ask this question, then you’re too new to even consider clamping — clamping is advanced…very advanced, and you can cause serious and permanent injuries by jumping into clamping before you know what you’re doing and before your dick is well conditioned.
Do manual stretches. If you want to go hands free, then figure out a way to hang. You can even make a simple swim-cap hanger for a few bucks with supplies you should be able to get just about anywhere.
