I’m new on this forum. I haven’t posted much. I’ve been following the newbie routine for three weeks now. On Friday, however, I made a shocking discovery! My non bone pressed erect penis length has decreased 1cm (almost 0.5 inch)! This is really bad news for me because the last thing I can afford to lose is length seeing as this is the whole reason why I started PE! I haven’t felt any pain, real discomfort while performing the newbie routine, so I doubt this is the result of a serious injury. I just don’t know what’s going on. I’m so frustrated guys! Can anybody help me by explaining what could have caused this? I’ve made flacid length gains - I’m a grower not a shower, but my penis is definitely “hanging” more in flacid state, so I’m happy with this, but the last thing I want is a shorter dick!

Also, I don’t want to be flamed for contravening any of the forum’s policies, so I apologise if my above post is kind of vague. If there’s any information that I need to provide in addition to the above to help you guys help me, please let me know! I’d like to hear from guys who have made length gains about what I can do to possible tweak the newbie routine to emphasise length gains. Please reply guys

Not at all that uncommon actually. For a lot of guys that simply means you are over training a bit. I always measured up short when actively PEing. Take a day few days off and then measure? then everything was back to normal. And with time normal got bigger.

Other than a few minutes of very gentle massage to help with circulation and overall health take some days off and see how you feel. Then ease back into a softer version of what you were doing. Or simply take a week off and then switch to the kinder, gentler, newbie routine. NEW newbie + advanced routine

If taking time off gets you the loss back and if you are experiencing absolutely no other negative EQ, (soreness, etc); if you dick feels more healthy? But even a little bit of PE causes you shrinkage? Just take days off to make sure your unit gets a chance to bounce back. Lots of guys report having sudden growth spurts when taking a break.

Thank you Iamaru. I haven’t had any negative signs besides the loss of length. EQ is way improved since I’ve started PE and vascularity of the penis has also increased in flacid state. I was just a bit worried about the sudden shrinkage. I hope I get it back after taking this weekend off

Could be a simply measuring error as well. Non bone pressed is much easier to miss by rather small margins. 1/2 may not seem like a small miss, but couple that possible error with an erection that was slightly less in quality that day and you’ve got the 1/2 inch. I wouldn’t worry about it that much and just pull back on the training a bit. Take two 30 second to 1 minute breaks during the jelqing routine and take that time to let the blood flow return to normal. Lightly slap your penis against your leg a few times, then the same thing on the other leg, then get back to jelqing. As you know, some days, as guys, our erections seem amazing, then on other days it’s like “hey where’s the rest of you?” haha So, it may not be a loss at all. I wouldn’t be too concerned at this point. Like ‘iamaru’ said, take a short break and then lighten up the routine a bit and it’ll be fine.

Is it just your non-pressed measurement that shrank? If your bone-pressed number is still the same, then it sounds like at least some of the length decrease would be due to your fat pad increasing. That might be attributed to excess water retention (and perhaps a small increase in actual bodyfat).

I think the decrease in measurement was probably temporary and due to overtraining. On the day I had the “bad” measurement, my flacid length was also slightly less. I haven’t taken an erect measurement since then, but everything seems to be back to normal with regards to my flacid length, so I’m not too concerned. I’ve got virtually no fat pad, even when I gain a few kg’s, it hardly ever goes to my “fat pad” or pubic area. I don’t do bone pressed measurements as a rule because of this and also because I’m more concerned with visual results (however long they might take) than results on the measuring tape. Thanks man! The 30 second break idea is an insight I’ll definitely try. Never really thought about it. Makes sense though. I’m taking it easy now though. Trying the less intense version of the newbie routine that Iamaru suggested. I only do about 60-80 jelqs with my PE workout. This is preceded by 30 second stretches for 3 sets in each direction. I do a good 5 min warmup in the shower and warm down for 5-15 mins with a warm beanbag. In between stretches, I do “helicopter swings”. I took this idea from a PeGym routine and incorporated it into the newbie routine. I haven’t heard anybody on TP mention it before though, so I’m wondering if I should keep these or drop them if they’re not really important? Any thoughts?
