Rice Sock

Rice Sock

Is a rice sock something you would make or is it something you would buy, and where would you buy it? I see that some people say it is the best way to warm up before PEing.

You make it yourself. Take old cotton sock (or new, depending on state of sock), fill with rice and tie a knot. Don’t overfill. Add spices taste. ;)

Other good alternatives is a plastic cup filled with hot water, dunk in and press agains your base to heat the ligs. Or run dick under hot tap water. There are also rechargeable heat packs available at all outdoor stores (, forinstance). You can also place a wet kitchen towel in a ziploc bag and nuke it in the microwave.

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

torch that baby

Acetylene torch works well, also. Then you’ll look like Dangle.

Only nuke the rice sock one minute. The rice burns after a while and you’ll need to replace it. Rice is cheap, but I’m running low on socks.

No Nukes

Flax seeds work as well, if not better. The rice gets hot because it contains water which is heated by the microwave. Flax seeds contain oil which, in my opinion, stays warm longer. You can buy flax seeds at health food stores or buy ready made flax seed warmers:
