Resting

Red dots mean you are probably overdoing it. I recommend less force when jelqing.

And you increase exercise length maybe a bit fast. Restarting all over with the Newbie routine seems beneficial in my opinion. And increase time just by 5 min steps every 2 weeks, maybe even 3. Apply a bit more heat, especially between jelqs and stretches ir go directly for an IR lamp for constant heating.

Keep a solid logbook and plan your schedule ahead. Start with low frequency (1on/2off) and increase once a month to 1on/1off, then 2on/1off.

You could be a less is more type, so give your dick some time to react to the stimulus and tell you when you are in the zone. And then stay in it!

Thanks for your input! There seems to be wisdom in what you are saying, that may be the main reason a lot of people have trouble gaining is they are so over zealous to get in there and make something happen only to backtrack or completely stop the promotion of growth! Would you say that you can over train your penis even if you don’t red spots or get overly sore? At what rate would you suggest increase of PE if being 100% consistent with say the newb schedule?

BTW, I never said I was getting red spots, and I do realize that getting red spots or overly sore would be a good indicator to slow down. Thanks for your input though!

What Craven said is a great thing to remember. The best way to maintain gains is to do only enough to see gains. This keeps prevents the penile tissue from toughening up too quickly. I personally believe that you should only increase when the gains stop. If what you’re doing is currently producing gains there’s absolutely no reason to change it. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Best of luck to all fellow PE-ers in their journey.

Hmm

a little attack of morning fatgue. Elder men have it sometimes. I should read the threads more precisely.

Sorry for the confusion

Here’s one for the vets ,, do you think you can over train when it comes to stretching against a curve ?

Bearded dragon and Silva,

Thanks for the information guys. I appreciate it. I’m on my third day of rest without jelqing and the purple dots are still present. Is this normal? Should I wait until they are completely gone to start my new routine?

Thanks again.

I myself am a newb to this stuff.. However, I would take a break for a day or two until the spots pretty much go away.. Thats me tho.

Yes you can, read the PI thread as it will give you the good and bad indicators of exercising. Sometimes when I’m jelqing, I do not reach my target number of jelqs because I can tell my penis has had enough. Get in tune with your penis and the little guy will let you know how far you can push it. I try and do the minimum amount of exercising and still maintain growth. My goal is to grow my penis not see how long I can do the exercises.

I believe the dots can take up to a week to go away. Once you see some dots start to fade away you can restart your routine but take it easy at first so you don’t bring them back. I only had a few dots so I just took it easy on my next week of jelqing.

I only ever got really small dots, like pinprick size, and they went away within a few hours, so I don’t know for sure. I’d echo the advice you’ve already got though: wait until they’re gone or well-faded, restart jelqing much more softly, and learn to listen to the signs from your penis when choosing force levels and exercise amounts. In my personal workouts, I am for the border between pleasureful jelqs, and minor discomfort. I want to stay just on the side of pleasureful. I do cross over into minor discomfort in order to experiment with finding the right levels. Some people even target that zone. But going beyond discomfort into pain is bad, even if it’s just for a split second, it’s a clear sign to use less force.

PS. You could also find more info on your dots by advanced searching “dots” or “spots” with Title Only selected. Maybe you’ll find a thread with advice from somebody with more experience on the time frame of returning to workouts when the dots are bigger or more persistent.

Craven and bearded dragon,

Thanks for your input guys. I will definitely check out some of the other threads but for now, I’m just going to take your advice and wait until the dots are completely gone to resume my routine.

Thanks again.
