Recovery when you cannot sleep

I get to bed around midnight and begin my day at 5 am, this obviously leads little time for recovery and according to most of the links in this thread:

Sleep and PE

It is obvious (among common sense related ideals to weight lifting) that REM is important in stabilization of recovery. What are some extra things I can be doing to makeup for my lack of siesta time.


Reject the basic assumptions of civilizations, especially the importance of material possessions.

Get more days to rest, work PE 1 and rest 2 something like this will be enough if you are doing the newbie routine if not, you’ll need to takes more days off PE, it really depends on how much stress you are applying to your unit

Diet, i.e. foods or supplements that aid with recovery might be something worth considering.

I think REM sleep would be a lot more important for recovery in weight lifting than something like PE. The important question is: do you feel like your penis isn’t getting enough recovery time? It’s not like it won’t get any recovery done just because you’re not in a state of REM sleep.

How do you feel besides PE when you are functioning on 5 hours sleep a day? That seems like too little for me, but then again everyone’s different.

Thats hard to say I was a marine so I kind of always keep my head up. They fixed the whole being too tired to work your ass off everyday. But in general I am a fully functioning exhausted man.
