I would suspect you have spent the first month trying to work out what you are doing and (obviously by your question) if you are doing it right.
I found it took me a couple of months to slip into a comfortable style of jelqing that suited me. I prefer ‘hand-under’ wet-jelqing. Others prefer over-hand and / or dry jelqing. Fundamentally you need to find a method / style that you feel comfortable doing and that only comes with experience and consistency.
Don’t keep changing style or grips every 2 minutes; find what style works most comfortably for you then do that for a week of sessions. Then review and assess how that went and if you think it can be improved modify it slowly, one change at a time until you find what works best for you.
As far as how you dick will look by the end of a session, well initially because you are a bit all over the place with technique you may no be getting a good ‘flushed and fluffy’ unit at sessions end. Persevere, steady the ship with consistent workouts and you will slowly start to see the results.
If you get ‘turtling’ issues try tucking your dick between your legs post-workout (this is called a Fowfer or Between The Cheeks - BTC). This works particularly well if you go to bed post-workout. Lie on your side, tuck your legs up a bit and pull the little guy between your thighs / cheeks and pull your legs down a bit and you will feel a nice stretch.
