This has been one of the most frustrating experiences for me. I’ve been PEing for about a month and I don’t feel like I’m getting a handle on things. I keep on changing the positioning of my hands and I just can’t get it right. For now, I was just wondering if you should feel some sort sensation of blood flowing when you let go of your unit near the head.

Edit: also does a turtled up penis after a workout mean that the workout didn’t go well?

Yes. I’m doing everything on the newbie routine. I’ve just been really confused with jelqing. I’ve been switching from grip strengths, grip positions, erection levels, etc. Are there any tell tale signs that I should be noticing to figure out if my workout was successful?

I would suspect you have spent the first month trying to work out what you are doing and (obviously by your question) if you are doing it right.

I found it took me a couple of months to slip into a comfortable style of jelqing that suited me. I prefer ‘hand-under’ wet-jelqing. Others prefer over-hand and / or dry jelqing. Fundamentally you need to find a method / style that you feel comfortable doing and that only comes with experience and consistency.

Don’t keep changing style or grips every 2 minutes; find what style works most comfortably for you then do that for a week of sessions. Then review and assess how that went and if you think it can be improved modify it slowly, one change at a time until you find what works best for you.

As far as how you dick will look by the end of a session, well initially because you are a bit all over the place with technique you may no be getting a good ‘flushed and fluffy’ unit at sessions end. Persevere, steady the ship with consistent workouts and you will slowly start to see the results.

If you get ‘turtling’ issues try tucking your dick between your legs post-workout (this is called a Fowfer or Between The Cheeks - BTC). This works particularly well if you go to bed post-workout. Lie on your side, tuck your legs up a bit and pull the little guy between your thighs / cheeks and pull your legs down a bit and you will feel a nice stretch.

Thanks for the great reply. I’ll give it some more time and do some fowfers at night. I haven’t been TOO sporadic with my techniques but yeah, I’ve probably been changing it up a little too much.

Ok wow. I just did some fowfers while lying in bed for a little bit, and they really feel great. I’m looking forward to doing it at night. Thanks a lot for the recommendation.

My dick has been turtling BAD the last 2 days. I don’t know if it’s because I had a 12 pack of iced tea or not. I took a 5 day break because I am extremely lazy. Hopefully, I will try to get back into the swing of things and see how my penis reacts. I don’t know if the turtling is bad, but I’ll compare yours to mine in a few days.

Are you getting a semi-erect penis when jelking? You should

Are you stretching before you jelk?

Are you warming up your dick before you stretch?

Take the jelk out slowly, hold the base of the penis in an ok grip, squeeze a bit harder but don’t break it.
While you jelk another ok grip should be just behind the head.
The base grip pushes blood toward the head, release the grip at the head and put it at the base repeat slowly 3-5 seconds take your time, it’s not a race.

I fowfer every chance I have. You can fowfer while at the computer, driving or whenever you find the time. The best thing about fowfers, especially for newbies, is you can feel the lig stretch immediately. The more you do them, the less you’ll feel that initial lig stretch, but you’ll start feeling the stretch in the CC at that point. I’m averaging almost 2.5 hours each day doing fowfers (yes, I record every minute I do them, averaging 2.463 hours per day, to be exact).
