Random thought: what if the clamp breaks

There’s really no answer to the question I guess. I mean obviously you’d have to find some kind of tool to break that thing off of your penis. I guess I’m just curious if anyone has had this experience; the clamp malfunctions and you can’t release it from your dick. Leaving you fully engorged and potentially in a bad situation. I’m a newbie who just started the newbie routine, but I’ve been reading about a lot of stuff and clamping sounds like something that I might be interested in. It’s said to be dangerous so I’m scared of the idea of the clamp being stuck on you when you really need it to be off. I know that clamping can be done with anything from a string to a heavy-duty clamp. I guess what I’m thinking about is a heavy-duty clamp. You know, the ones that lock in place and are released by a push-down trigger/switch? Imagine getting that thing stuck on there.

Anyone have any bad experiences with this? If so; what type of clamp would you suggest that is safe?

I think usually when it breaks, you can’t even clamp it, so I think it should be fine.

The plastic cable clamps with the ratchet lock are virtually fool-proof and if they break, it will be at the ratchet point or the hinge. Either way if they break it would release your dick, so no worries using them to clamp.

Where one runs into trouble is if you leave the clamp tight for too long and the penis goes cold. This is a situation you control by monitoring your dick for temperature and radical discolouration.

When I clamp I only do so for 10 minute intervals and allow my dick to recover for a few minutes before clamping again.

And I suppose I should point out that the use of pipe clamps are not to be used for clamping your dick, as if you run into trouble you may not be able to get it off fast enough to avoid serious injury.

And finally, don’t sleep with a clamp on for any reason.

Thanks for replies. It’ll be a while before I’m clamping but I’m reading as much as I can about it now. One day it sounds good then the next day I’m scared.

I broke a clamp earlier this afternoon. :(

Was literally just wondering the exact same thing today (just recently started clamping). Good to hear it breaks completely. I wasn’t too concerned since I kind of assumed so.
