Quit smoking if you haven't done so:

I’ve been a smoker for 20 years. I’ve been doing p.e. On and off for a few years, but recently(as of 6 months or so ago) I’ve begun to take it more seriously. I wasn’t aware of my true gains until I quit smoking(a month ago). My circulation is coming back, and I feel bigger and harder than ever before, and I can get longer lasting and more frequent erections as of the last week or so. I’ve had more sex with my wife in the last week than we’ve had in the last 3 months! My newest measurements are nbpel 7” bpel 7 7/8 eg 5 5/8 midshaft, and 5 3/4 near the base. I hope I can reach 8x6 nbp but I’m almost 39. We’ll see.

Since I quit last year it’s caused a domino effect amongst my smoking friends. I think I only have two smoking friends left whereas at one time nearly all my friends smoked.

I didn’t smoke for very long (2 years roughly) but I recently quit and I can’t believe the difference it has made! I can smell and taste things a 100 times better, better breath and no more shortness of breath. I haven’t noticed any differences in the PE arena, but I am sure the circulation is better than when I was smoking. For all you smokers out there, YOU CAN DO IT! If I can anyone can!

Not to mention that the Tobacco Lobby in this country - who get paid every time you light a cigarette - are some of the foulest, most unethical scum out there (even among lobbying groups, which is saying something).

Jesse Helms used to be their man in Washington; he split time between trying to destroy arts funding in this country based on perceived immorality while lining his pockets with cancer money from big tobacco.

I’m in the process of quitting as we speak…It’s so hard dudes, I’m 24 and have been smoking since I was 12 or 11 I don’t remember which. If I go without a cig for a day or two, when I do have one my entire body quivers and each one of my cell feels like its tingling…Damn I want a cig so bad right now haha. But I know it’s so bad for you and I know I do have the will power to quit. It is helping me to substitute something for my smoking too. In other words, when I want a cig I just take five minute and breath really deep and enjoy the feeling of breathing in oxygen and the great feeling of opening my lungs and I stretch and smell different smells while breathing in and loving the feeling! I then tell myself how bad I would feel and how my lungs would feel if I was breathing in smoke instead of pure energy. It feels so great to go outside in the cool weather and breath deep for five minutes and go inside without the want of a cancer stick.

But still, the nagging addiction rears it’s head every now and again. This remains one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

I smoked for about 24 years. During that time I did give up a few times, sometimes for quite a few months, but I always had a nagging feeling of ‘wanting a cig’. This time, I know I won’t ever smoke again because I just don’t think about them.

Although I quit cold turkey, which I think is the only way, I did have some serious help from a book. I had read quite a few of the classic quitting books, especially the Allen Carr ones, and they all made me want to stop, but never worked long term. The book that did work for me, worked because it made me understand how nicotine works in the body and why it’s addictive. It focused more on the nicotine than the cigarette. If that sounds a bit dry and boring, the book was actually humorous and an enjoyable read.
