Now I have been here on and off for a while now and have really got into PE and bought a extender but one thing still gets to me and I would really want it gone is how do doctors accurately measure one penis , I’ve taken my measurements lying down straight BPEL and they are 6.75 and nbp 5.5 but I still would like to know how the doctors do it accurately , is it standing up straight or lying down ?? Or is there not a accurate way and most doctors measure different and not all studies based on the average are measured the same way ?

So far as I know, Doctors don’t make much of a habit of measuring penis’s.

But the general method on PE forums is to stand on your feet, and measure straight out with the ruler at the upper surface.

Well that’s what I do anyway.

There are accurate methods, and they have been discussed a lot, most recently here: Measuring length accurately.

Unfortunately, most studies do not use a uniform method of measuring. That much is obvious from the very different avarage sizes shown by different surveys. We probably know a lot more about accurate measurement here than most doctors. After all, we spend a lot of time taking penis measurements, whereas doctors probably never do it at all. :)


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Thanks for the reply guys and from what I have read overall the standard method is standing up straight , bpel , 90 degree angle I think that is me true length :) .

One of the best ways Ive heard of is standing with your back against a wall, feet shoulder width apart, and parallel to the floor.

Wouldn’t that affect your measurement from just standing straight up though ?? I mean I tried this by pressing my lower back towards the wall gently and the measurement’s where the same ?

Of course it would affect the measurement. Any way you measure, there are going to be variable affecting the measurements. What you want is replicability, so that the same variables affect the measurement in the same way to track true progress. Now, if you want the one way to measure in order to find your TRUE measurements, well I don’t think there is one.
