Question about jelqing

Do I have to use a hand to hold the base of my penis when the other hand jelqing forward?

The aim is to prevent the blood from flowing back.

You can if it helps to stabilize your dick. It is also a good way to gain faster to have a grip at the base while the other is moving up towards the glans.

Yeah, it’s the only way I can do it and feel like it’s doing anything.. Keeps my extra skin from pulling forward, and lets me get closer to my bone.

I was going to ask a similar question. I just completed the newbie routine for the first time and was also wondering about timing w/ the second hand. Is it better to create the new grip at the base once the first hand is almost at the glans, or should the grip at the base be created as soon as there’s room to do so?

Sorry, but I gotta throw this in there.. If you let the blood flow back once you reach your glands before stopping it with the other hand, would you consider that a failed jelq?

Also if you don’t feel the blood being pushed towards your gland, does that mean our erection level is too low for jelqing?

Personally, I dry jelq using a kegel to provide blood for each stoke.
