Question about cooldown

I have been cooling down with a washcloth for 5 minutes after my routine to promote healing and as expected, have experienced some shrinkage from the cold. I’m wondering if it would be better to warm down instead to keep my unit engorged with blood and to let it hang longer.

I’m sorry if this was covered already.

I warm down, or do nothing at all. But yeah, only warm down if I end up doing anything at all.

My suggestion would alternate between cooling down and warming down. So you get the benefits of both. Cooling down should not cause much shrinkage over time, if done while unit is stretched out. In other words keep your unit elongated (low intensity) while cooling down.

Another thing to consider is maybe after 10 minutes of cooling down, get an erection so that fresh blood can engorge your unit and start the healing process.

I never cool down for more than a minute. Under cold water, my whole shaft temperature it completely reduced in about 30 seconds. I always stay in my engorged state after sessions- it’s great.

Just to clarify this sentence, I do not imply cooling down for 10 mins. What I mean is, after maybe 10 minutes have past after cooling down, get your unit engorge.

Haha yes good thing you clarified, I looked at what you said and was like “wow, would you be able to have kids after running it under cold water for that long” hahaha.

When I replaced warming down for cooling down (cold showers) my unit responded instantly. My flaccid state increased and gains came much, much easier.

It’s something I completely swear by and it’s also taking the sports world by storm due it’s incredible benefits with speeding up the recovery process and reducing post workout soreness.

Thanks so much for all of your informative advice. Would it be fair if I cooled down with a cold washcloth for about 2 minutes and follow with a hot shower? As zabora suggested, I’ll also get an erection after waiting 10 minutes.

Kooljohn— If you don’t mind my asking, how long do you usually cool down for? Is this immediately after completing your routine?

I usually cooldown for about 5 mins in a cold shower.

I find that any more than that is not needed and this is immediately after my routine.
