Pump issues

Pump issues

Hi, first post, but I have been lurking for a while. I have been a hydro-max user for a while, but decided I wanted more control on the pressure.

I recently got a leluv cylinder. I also purchased the tube with the male quick connector. I picked up the Harbor Freight brake bleed vacuum pump.

Problem : I cannot get a reading on the gauge when connected to the cylinder. If I put my finger over the hose when disconnected from the cylinder, I get a reading as soon as I start squeezing the pump handle.

Any ideas? I suspect the female quick connector on the cylinder is faulty, but I am just guessing.

Is the female connector screwed in firmly, but not overly tight? The male connector has a good O-ring?

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Yes, the female connect is in firmly. I looked at the o ring, and it looked like it had a twist in it. Took it off, put it back on. Same issue.

Went to home depot, grabbed some replacement o-rings. They look the right size, but maybe not. It was hard getting the connectors to connect, but it didn’t change the issue. I put the original o-ring back on.

I’m still thinking its the male connector, and leluv said they’d send one out, so I guess we’ll see.
I am literally out of ideas, so I was hoping someone had solved a similar issue

Correction.. I believe the problem is with the female connector, not the male connector.

The correct size O-ring is 5/16 X 3/16 X 1/16.

Press the cylinder against your thigh or stomach to see if it holds pressure when you pump.

Gprent, thanks for confirming the o-ring size, that’s the size I picked up.

I’ve done the thigh and stomach and it doesn’t hold pressure. I also stretched a piece of rubber over the end of the cylinder, and pumped. The rubber simply moves down a bit, then back to original level. It doesn’t suck in as I would expect.

I may remove the female connector and see of its o-ring is damaged and reinstall. If its not damaged, I can’t see it being anything else other than a faulty connector. Would you agree?

I really appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this. Thank you.

Are you pressing in the pin on the female connector before inserting the male connector in it? This could cause the connection to not seal correctly in some cases.

Have you gone through the instructions that came with the pump? They have a detailed trouble shooting guide in there.

Shooter8, no, I haven’t been pushing the release to insert the hose. I’ve gone through all the trouble shooting. Leluv said they would send the female connector out.

Put some vaseline on the 2 o-rings. :)

I have always put plumbers teflon tape on the threads of the female connector in addition to the O-ring. Might give that a try.

You can also put soapy water on the connections to find the leak when you try to pump it up.
