Proper measurements

When they say “The average size is 6 inches” what do they mean - when do they measure - when it is at it’s maximum erection 4-5 minutes before ejaculation or simply when it is erect.I’m 6.2 or something erect , but before ejaculation I can reach 6.5 .. So by these standarts what is my size - 6.2 or 6.5 ?Also noticed that when I am sitting comfortably on a chair and measure I’m somehow bigger than when I’m standing.

Most of what you say go for me too. The measurements are at maximum erection. A drug is given to the volunteers to give a 100% erection. When normally erct I am 6.8NBP but at a full erection it is anywhere from 7+NBP. Sitting does give a biggermeasurement, I guess becasue there is lessfatpad when sitting.

I would say that the 6.2 inch measurement is most representative of your erect size.

The page I linked above suggests measuring while you are standing or lying down; yes, you can get a somewhat higher number if you measure while seated.

How you measure depends on why you’re measuring. If it is for the purposes of PE, the most important thing is to do it in a consistent manner, so that the measurements you’re taking today are actually useful to you a week or a month or a year from now, when you’re trying to figure out if you’ve actually grown from the routine you’re using.

If you just want a big number, go for the ‘just before ejaculation’ number while seated.

But do you have to measure from the side as in the picture or from the top ( from the center)?

Top. Side adds a bit.

THats why it is best to measure dead center.

I made a post about this years ago and why it is best to measure just off dead center. The suspensory ligament will affect things if you let that get between the end of the ruler and the pelvic bone. Bypass that by a millimeter or two to either side and you’ll get your best measurement.
