I started my workout routine this weekend following the newbie routine I found in the Newbie forum. I did the PE last night and again this morning at around 11:00- twelve hours apart. I was tender after the second time but please with the hang I was having after the last warm up. This afternoon (about four hours later) my wife wants to have sex and I could not keep my erection!!! Why not? I thought I read somewhere that I should wait about two hours before andy sexual activity. Did I do something wrong?? She does not know yet that I have started PE. I wanted to wait until I had some gains that she would notice. If we try again later tonight should things be all right- I know she will want to. I just told her that there were too many things to do and I couldn’t focus my mind on sex right then. You don’t say how long you worked out for, but it sounds like a classic case of doing too much too soon and you just wore yourself out. You are a newbie and prone to going too hard and too fast and too much too soon. Sound about right?

Take it easy and allow 24 hours between workouts. Don’t try to grow 1 inch in one day! This is a long process.

bdcarroll, its called fatigue. Your question sounds like this: “I just started running yesterday. I ran 2 miles last night, and 3 miles this morning. For some reason, I could only run 5 miles this afternoon before I just went limp.”

I went through the same thing my first and second week. Then, my erections seemed to suddenly thicken and harden after that. I’m not saying that in two weeks, you’ll be Mr. Enzyte, but just take it easy and give it some time.

You’re a newbie who did a little too much a little too soon. This is not a problem, but since your dick is acclimating to the new stresses, don’t plan your sexual activity within such a narrow window of time, at least not now. When you’re a seasoned PE’er, you’ll be able to gauge your dick strength and recovery period much better.

For now, just go by yourself somewhere and see if you can stimulate your dick gently and slowly to help prepare it for the night’s sexual activities. Don’t sweat it! Let yourself go and just enjoy sex with the wife.

It sounds like you’re doing too much too soon. I’d definitely, at least for a while, not try to have sex the same day I do a strenuous PE workout. The PE sessions should HELP prepare you for sexual intercourse, (if you don’t masturbate at the end of the session). There are some guys who can PE strenuously, masturbate six times a day and still have good sex. I do believe these satyrs are the exception to the rule.

I’d focus on doing kegels (not to exhaustion). They help me a lot in priming the old willy pump for sexual intercourse. And I’m two-thirds of a century old. Har, har, har.

This is the main reason I wanted to be up front with my wife. After a decent work out, my unit’s out of commission a few hours.

All’s can be said - relax, don’t do it again. Exercise the guy when you know you’re not going to get any. Like early morning before leaving for work.

thanks guys- your advice and answers sure do make sense. I must have worked my dick harder than I thought. Things just were going so well and I did not feel like stopping too soon. I’ll back off. I do plan to move the workouts to early mornings instead of late evenings.
