Hi everyone,

I read the thread Knowing whether you are limited by Dorsal Thickening/Septum and I believe I may be limited by my Dorsal Thickening/Septum. I am almost 3 months into my newbie routine and I was wondering what exercises I can do so I do not injure myself.

My unit stretches but not long and thin so thats why I think I am limited by it. Would it be too early to do fulcrum hanging as suggested in the thread or is there an alternative conditioning exercise?

What are your gains so far? Are they just girth?

You could try the manual form of fulcrum hanging, long hold inverted-v stretches. You can modify the power quite a lot with these and add a certain dynamic element.

Memento the other day i was doing some long duration inverted V stretch and few days after i found i had 0.5cm gain, im limited by Dorsal Thickening/Septum so im starting your routine today see if i can keep the gains momentum up.

I feel a little bit of pain on what i think its where the Dorsal Thickening/Septum joins the glan when doing up/front/down stretching, i feel no pain whatsoever when doing inverted V or normal V stretches. I was thinking of stop doing normal stretch and only do inverted V and twists.

Should i worry about it?

My understanding is that there is a high concentration of nerves just behind the glans on top. Often this is impacted by grip position. It’s best to locate the soft flesh between thumb and forefinger directly over this area. Does your pain relate to grip position? All pain should be taken notice of and if you can avoid it, that is a better course.

My routine is pretty intense, it might be worth doing a cut down version to start with or modifying it in other ways to fit your needs.

i allways use an inverted OK grip, feels more comfortable to me and the soft part of the hand is in contact. ill be extra carefull maybe lowering my grip a bit more? i grip just before the gland

No girth so far and possibly 0.5cm or 0.2” in length if i’ve measured correctly. As I have an upward curve so i generally bend it down to make it straight and that gives a bit more length but can be difficult to maintain an accurate measurement.

Use heat with your exercises. Get a bottle approx 3” in dia and fill with water then put in microwave for 1.5mins or until just warm enough to allow for sustained skin contact. Then apply to your unit while exercising.

Heat will do wonders.

I find for me to apply to the top of my unit while it is stretching. I use a heat lamp *($9 desk lamp with a IR heat bulb installed) and sometimes i use the pill water bottle *(i will put it on top of my unit and stretch it around the bottle while watching TV and doing manual stretches). Some guys will drop their unit into a cup or bottle or glass of warm water to allow heating.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know who here is limited by their Dorsal Thickening/Septum and has gained. If so how much have you gained?

I can feel that annoying steel chord that will refuse to give me a full stretch.

The chord feels as if it runs along the top of my shaft.

I’ve started doing inverted v-stretches but they seem really uncomfortable putting pressure underneath.

Just want to know if anyone has been successful and if its worth trying?

Well if I could get some advice. I’ve been PE’ing for over 5 months now and I was wondering if I should take a break before I start doing long inverted v-stretches?

I am not sure after all this time if I have just toughened up myself to the point of no gain or am at a point where I am conditioned enough to go for more intense exercises? As I have no newbie gains.

I have re-measured and after what I thought was my initial first gains of 0.2” I believe it may have come down to measuring incorrectly as I am now exactly the same size as when I first started. In both girth and length.

So in short:
1. Take a break and do inverted v-stretches
2. No break and start inverted v-stretches immediately
3. Take a break and re-start the newbie routine from the beginning
4. Other recommendations

Not sure what would set me back and if people have an idea it would be greatly appreciated.
